As an ardent gamer with a decade-long journey through various digital battlefields, I can’t help but feel a surge of adrenaline upon hearing about the MPL MENA Season 6 of Mobile Legends Bang Bang. With a whopping $100,000 prize pool and eight formidable teams vying for supremacy, this event promises to be a spectacle that no MOBA enthusiast should miss.
Mobile Legends Bang Bang continues its momentum as it concludes the remaining regional professional leagues. With the second split of 2024 esports leagues already underway, we’re now gearing up for the start of the MPL MENA Season 6.
An impressive $100,000 prize is up for grabs in this competition, as eight formidable contenders vie for a larger portion of the winnings. Furthermore, teams are determined to seize the title of champion. This event has been orchestrated by MOONTON Games and will be held both virtually and physically.
MPL MENA Season 6: Schedule and Format
In MPL MENA Season 6, we’ll have two main phases: the Regular Season and the Playoffs. The Regular Season kicks off on August 23rd, 2024, and wraps up on September 21st, 2024. During this phase, there will be multiple single round-robin matches followed by best-of-three (BO3) games. If a team wins two games in a row (2-0), they’ll earn 3 points. In case of a 2-1 victory, the victorious team gets 2 points while the losing team secures 1 point. The top six teams from this phase will progress to the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are set to occur from September 26th to October 18th. During this time, we’ll use a hybrid elimination system where teams ranked 3rd to 6th will play in the first round. In contrast, the 1st and 2nd seeded teams get a bye for the first round and will enter directly into Round 2.
In all rounds except the lower bracket final, each match will consist of best-of-three games. The lower bracket final, however, will feature a best-of-five series. Lastly, the grand final will be a best-of-seven competition.
Participant Teams
8 teams in total are set to compete for the championship title during the MPL MENA Season 6. Out of these teams, six have been given direct invitations. The remaining two teams will be determined through the Egypt qualifier and GCC qualifier events.
