The announcement at the grand final stage of the M5 World Championship is a reminder of how far we’ve come since the inaugural event at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur back in 2019.
As the clock ticks down on the final day of the 2023 competitive season for Mobile Legends, the hugely popular MOBA from MOONTON, the excitement is palpable. I can’t help but reminisce about the thrilling beginning of the M series in 2019 at Kuala Lumpur’s Axiata Arena. The M6 World Championship marks a return to our roots, and the cherished memories of that event are still etched in the hearts of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fans. I was there, cheering on as EVOS Legends clinched their victory against RRQ Hoshi with a tight 4-3 win. The all-Indonesian tournament remains a treasured moment in MLBB history.
The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, YB Adam Adli, expressed his excitement during the M6 venue announcement: “This accomplishment belongs not only to an individual but to all Malaysians. We’ve collectively made it happen! The M6 event is going to be a significant milestone for our country. We warmly invite players, supporters, and esports fans from around the world to partake in the unique warmth and enthusiasm that Malaysia has to offer.”
Mobile Legends M6 World Championship 2024 is likely to start in Nov-Dec
The next edition of Mobile Legends Bang Bang, specifically the M6 World Championship, is anticipated to begin towards the end of November or at the start of December. Previously, the M4 event unfolded in January. However, considering the standard schedule for this title’s events, it’s more likely that the M6 will occur around November-December 2024.
The top teams from around the world will be aiming for the trophy as they compete in the M5 World Championship grand finals, hosted by MOONTON. Additionally, the prize money is expected to reach the million-dollar mark. Let’s savor the exciting matchups between ONIC Esports and AP.Bren.
