Skill analysis
In this guide, we’ll delve into Granger’s array of talents in Mobile Legends, offering optimal moments to leverage each skill for the greatest effect. He boasts four skills in total: one passive and three active ones.
Passive – Capriccio (Damage, Buff)
Granger’s distinctive Demon-Hunting Gun and Cannon derive their power from Ethereal Demon Energy. Here are some key points worth mentioning regarding this passive skill:
- Both his weapons have a starting Energy cap of 800.
- His Gun restores 8% Energy per second while his Cannon restores 2% Energy per second.
- Each Minion/Creep kill will permanently increase the Energy cap of Granger’s Gun and Cannon by 6 points each, and will also instantly restore their Energy by 5%. Every kill or assist on an enemy hero will permanently increase their Energy cap by 12 and instantly restore 10% of Energy.
- Every 1% CD Reduction Granger gains is converted into 2 Physical Attacks. Demonic Energy Cost is not affected by Energy Cost Reductions.
Skill 1 – Rhapsody (Burst)
Granger swiftly discharges six bullets from his gun, each bullet inflicting 60 base Physical Damage plus an extra 50% of his Total Physical Attack. Each shot consumes 70 Gun Energy, totaling 420 Energy for the ability. The final bullet is ensured to cause Critical damage. Moreover, each bullet deals an additional 70 damage to Creeps and Minions. While shooting, Granger’s Movement Speed increases by 15%.
Granger can use Rondo while this skill is active, but he can’t alter his facing direction. .
Skill 2 – Rondo (Mobility, Buff)
Granger uses his Demon Hunter agility to dash in the target direction, instantly restoring 15% Gun Energy.
Rondo can be cast while channelling Rhapsody. Each time Rhapsody hits an enemy, Rondo’s Cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds.
Be sure to adapt this ability for maneuvering in combat scenarios, whether you’re pursuing opponents or attempting an escape.
Ultimate Skill – Death Sonata (Burst, Slow)
Granger fires his Cannon in the target direction, dealing 250 (+80% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the first enemy hero hit and other targets in the blast radius. Targets hit will be slowed and revealed for a brief duration. Granger also rolls immediately in the Joystick’s direction after each shot.
Death Sonata can be cast while firing Rhapsody. It also has a brief CD of 0.6s and consumes 250 of Granger’s Cannon Energy per shot.
This ability can be easily spammed provided you have lots of remaining Cannon Energy.
Skill-up method for Granger
Focus on leveling up Skill 1 first as it’s his main damage dealer. After that, prioritize upgrading Skill 2, and finally, max out Skill 3 last.
Combinations to perform with Granger

To ensure successful ambushes against your opponents, kick off by deploying Granger’s ultimate for a powerful burst and slow-down effect. After that, move in with Skill 2 to replenish additional ammo reserves, then repeatedly use his Skill 1 and ultimate until the enemy is defeated. Best Emblem Set and Spells for Granger in Mobile Legends
Since his recent update, Granger has gained a broader function in team compositions, as he is now deployable not just in the Jungle, but also in the Gold Lane. His passive ability makes farming Energy stacks, especially when laning, more efficient. The higher his total Energy, the smoother it becomes for him to rapidly use his skills, thereby increasing his chances of getting kills.
In any given lane, our suggestion is to utilize the Custom Assassin emblem. By choosing abilities tailored to your playstyle and requirements, you can enhance your performance with Granger.
Custom Assassin Emblem
In a Jungle or Gold lane, Granger gains an advantage with the Custom Assassin emblem, enhancing his Adaptive Penetration, Adaptive Attack, and Movement Speed, making him agile enough to navigate the map efficiently while inflicting substantial damage on his targets. Therefore, we suggest using Rupture and Seasoned Hunter for increased penetration and enhanced jungle speed, particularly when farming in the jungle. In the final tier, opt for Lethal Ignition as it adds extra scorch damage to enemies, proving beneficial during attacks on opponents.
When moving into the Gold lane, it’s best to use Rupture, Weapons Master, and Quantum Charge as your emblems. This setup boosts Granger’s mobility and provides consistent health regeneration during fights, making him more effective in battles. Mobile Legends Granger Gameplay Tips
In a revamped state, Granger remains an irritating yet potent jungle marksman character in MLBB. To fully utilize any hero effectively, a player requires a thorough knowledge of the map. Based on his playstyle, we can divide it into three distinct phases: early, mid, and late game. Our Mobile Legends Granger guide offers an optimized strategy for each phase of the game.
Early Game
In the initial phases of the game, it’s crucial to focus on efficient farming, whether you’re a jungler or a Marksman, to accumulate Gun energy stacks effectively. This is essential because Revamped Granger shares a resemblance with Aldous and Cecilion regarding mid-late game burst potential through stacking. Therefore, make sure to correctly last hit minions and gather additional creeps to build up your stacks quickly. As the jungler, farm for leveling up and coordinate with your team for early ganks on the enemy carry. This will not only give your team an advantage but also aid in boosting your own level and item progression.
Additionally, ensure that you master Skill 1 effectively for optimal damage and take chances to annoy opponents whenever possible. However, be cautious about making overly bold moves unless you hold an undeniable edge in the situation.
Mid Game
During the middle part of the game, focus on joining team battles once you’ve acquired your essential items. Take advantage of your movement abilities to move quickly around the map. Look for chances to ambush enemies, particularly in lanes that could give your team an edge.
Employ your skill combinations, especially Skill 3 to hinder enemies and create opportunities for your team to eliminate them. Prioritize objectives such as turrets and buffs to keep control of the map.
Late Game
As the game progresses, your capacity to deal damage skyrockets with your Energy accumulations and well-structured build. In team fights, focus on positioning and target selection, as your burst damage can dramatically shift the battle in your team’s advantage. Stay vigilant about enemy crowd control abilities and adjust your positioning to dodge potential ambushes. That’s why Granger’s ultimate skill is handy for locating enemies and exposing their positions.
Make good use of your primary and secondary skills effectively, aim to land them first, and don’t forget to unleash your ultimate ability to deal maximum damage and seal the kills. Collaborating with your team is essential for successful advances, battles, and capturing decisive objectives such as the Lord or the enemy base.
