This update has me buzzing with anticipation because it significantly transforms the feel of the battlefield. With the introduction of four new maps, you’ll need to reassess your lane strategies and hero choices. Here are the fresh maps that will be available in the upcoming patch:
Dangerous Grass
As a devoted follower, I’m excited about the first map in this year’s update, titled “Dangerous Grass.” This expansive terrain is adorned with thick, towering grasses that carpet the highlands, fortified positions, the central lane, and even the Lord’s arena. These verdant hideouts offer enticing ambush possibilities, particularly for heroes who excel in delivering high burst damage.

In this new version, you can reintroduce beloved characters such as Eudora and Saber who can sneakily hide in bushes and then ambush opponents with lethal combo attacks. The introduction of Sky Piercer last year during Project NEXT significantly amplifies their deadliness, especially when they accumulate the 80 Lethality stacks.
Broken Walls
Coming up next is “Broken Walls,” a map featuring fresh routes crisscrossing the battleground. This network of paths allows agile characters such as Johnson to seize more opportunities for outstanding performance, strategic moves, and victories.

Heroes with reduced mobility, for instance, Cecilion, are set to gain advantage with these additional escape paths. The most significant shift is that Junglers can now sneak into the pit from behind, which increases possibilities for snatching the Lord or Turtle.
Flying Cloud
Following is “Flying Cloud,” a strategic map designed to facilitate swifter and smoother defense of higher elevations. This map includes a unique platform near your starting point that becomes active upon respawn, enabling you to assume a flight state and levitate above the high ground for five seconds.

This innovative addition allows for quicker entry into team battles, and it can also help protect your base by thwarting enemy minion attacks or ambushes on your towers. I’m particularly looking forward to exploring this map in gameplay.
Expanding Rivers

The final map designation is called “Spreading Waterways,” which allows mighty river streams to expand into adjacent regions, thereby enhancing your character’s mobility for swifter ambushes and improved positioning. This alteration proves particularly advantageous for heroes devoid of dash abilities, such as Nana or Ixia, as the water flow provides an added boost in speed to evade dangerous predicaments or swiftly aid allies during battles.
