The latest update for Cloudrise is now available, bringing a new Ranked season and a brand-new hero named Sora! This unique Fighter hero can transform into different forms, giving him a total of nine different abilities. This guide will show you the best emblem, spells, and build to help you win with Sora in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), along with helpful tips and tricks.

Skill Analysis

Passive: Mystic Surge

Sora can transform into either Thunder or Torrent using his Ultimate ability. While transformed, damaging enemy heroes or their summons gives him one stack of Cloudstep. Once he has five Cloudstep stacks, he unlocks his True Art.

  • Thunder: Converts a portion of his Max HP into Physical Attack, adopting an assassin style.
  • Torrent: Converts a portion his Physical Attack into Max HP, adopting a tank style.

First Skill: Sundering Strikes

Sora attacks twice, inflicting Physical Damage, and then quickly moves forward to strike again, dealing Physical Damage proportional to his maximum Health. He can follow up these attacks with a dash.

  • On ascending into Thunder, this ability becomes Sundering Strike: Thunderflash – Sora strikes four times, dealing Physical Damage, then lunges forward, dealing extra Physical Damage. He can move freely during this skill
  • On ascending into Torrent, this ability becomes Sundering Strike: Overwhelm – Sora strikes twice, dealing Physical Damage and slowing enemies. He then lunges forward, dealing extra Physical Damage, while stunning them.

Second Skill: Windstride

As a Sora player, I love this move! He dashes forward with a powerful attack. If he hits an enemy champion or reaches the end of his dash, he slams into the ground, dealing damage based on how much health he has – and it also slows enemies down! The best part? Landing the hit on a champion cuts down the cooldown, letting me use it again even faster.

  • On ascending into Thunder, this ability becomes Windstrike: Thunder Rush – Sora leaps forward, dealing Physical Damage. Upon hitting a hero or reaching the max distance, he then summons a thunderstorm that hits enemies, dealing Physical Damage and slowing them down. This skill can be cast again within 4 seconds if it hits an enemy.
  • On ascending into Torrent, this ability becomes Windstrike: Skyfall – Sora leaps forward, deals Physical Damage, knocks enemies airborne, and then knocks them back to the landing point. He then smashes the ground, knocking enemies airborne again, while dealing damage and slowing them down.

Third Skill – Shifting Skies

Swipe left to launch Sora upwards into Thunder for 10 seconds. This briefly boosts his movement speed and makes him untargetable. Afterward, he calls down lightning to strike nearby enemies three times, damaging them.

Swipe right to launch Sora upwards into Torrent for 10 seconds, which makes him immune to control effects. Shortly after, he’ll pull nearby enemies towards him, dealing damage based on his current health.

  • On ascending into Thunder, this ability becomes Heaven’s Wrath – Sora leaps into the air and strikes a target area 16 times Damage with each hit. Sora can move freely during this skill.
  • On ascending into Torrent, this ability becomes Stormbind – Sora leaps into the air and strikes the target area 5 times, dealing Damage and briefly stunning them with each hit. Sora can move freely and ignore terrain during this skill.

Skill-up method for Sora

When playing as Sora, focus on leveling up his Skill 1 first. After that, upgrade his Skill 2 and Ultimate ability as soon as you can.

Best Emblem Set and Spells for Sora in Mobile Legends Bang Bang

Emblem Setup

This guide focuses on building Sora’s emblem to boost his damage, help him survive, and make him a strong asset in battles throughout the game. We’ve put together some top emblem and talent combinations to help Sora perform his best.

For Sora, playing in the Exp Lane is strongly suggested, making the Fighter Emblem a great choice. Here are the best talents to use when setting up your emblem:

  • In the First Tier Talent, pick Firmness as it provides extra Magic and Physical Defense, granting Sora more durability whilst laning.
  • In the Second Tier Talent, pick Festival of Blood, since it provides a bonus Spell Vamp. This would greatly improve Sora’s sustain in the early game laning phase.
  • In the Third Tier Talent, pick Brave Smite for extra HP regen on dealing skill damage to enemies.

Battle Spells

  • While using Sora, equip the Flicker spell to perform unique combo outplays and as an extra respositioining tool.
  • Vengeance is another advisable Spell to use, as it allows you to survive more, especially when you’re the main Frontline for your team.
  • Petrify is another crucial spell to consider as it brings extra CC to the battlefield.

Best Equipment Build for Sora in Mobile Legends

Sora’s ideal gear focuses on staying alive while dealing consistent damage. It boosts his health, defense, and overall damage output, as his attacks get stronger the more health he has. Here’s a recommended equipment setup for Sora:

  • Tough Boots: Provides extra movement speed and Magic defense, more importantly, it provides extra Control-time reduction. Allowing Sora to survive more when facing High CC comps.
  • War Axe: This item grants extra Spell Vamp and increased attack damage the more Sora fights.
  • Thunderbelt: Greatly boosts Sora’s overall defensive stats by granting him Hybrid defense the more he encounters enemies.

  • Dominance Ice: This item mainly reduces the lifesteal and sustain of surrounding enemies, making it easier to burst them down.
  • Queen’s Wings: This item grants extra Health and Spell Vamp, while giving Sora a massive CD reduction boost when his HP is low.
  • Athena Shield: This item is crucial against burst damage magic dealers on the battlefield.

Mobile Legends Sora Build Guide Gameplay Tips

Okay, so I main Sora, and let me tell you, he’s all about being super aggressive. I love that I can really chase people down and protect my teammates at the same time. If you play him right, you’re basically starting every fight, punishing anyone who gets too greedy, and dictating how the whole battle goes. It’s a really controlling playstyle, which I dig.

Analyzing his gameplay reveals three distinct phases. However, mastering the map is crucial for maximizing the potential of any hero. This Mobile Legends (MLBB) guide for Sora details an ideal strategy for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

Start by learning your first ability, then head to the Exp lane. To get the most out of it, try to use it when you’re close to enemies – it delivers powerful double-impact punches! Combining this skill with your regular attacks is a great way to quickly defeat groups of minions.

Use your second ability to quickly escape when enemies try to ambush you in lane or when they enter the jungle. While in lane, you can also use it to easily grab the experience gained from killing the Rift Herald. Early in the game, prioritize getting experience and leveling up so you can unlock your ultimate ability.

Mid Game

Once Sora unlocks his ultimate ability, he becomes a powerful and adaptable fighter, especially in the later parts of the game. The key to playing Sora well is understanding and skillfully using his different Forms – knowing when to switch between them will significantly improve your performance in battle. Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind while playing as Sora.

  • Engage enemies with your First and Second Skill combo then use your Ultimate ability either by Sliding Left or Right to instantly ascend and Transform into a powerful new form.
  • When you use your Ultimate ability and Ascend into a new form, your First and Second skill instantly refresh. So utilize that for a full-on offensive on enemies.
  • On ascending into a new form, prioritize hitting enemies at least 5 times so as to quickly enable the ultimate of that form. Doing this will be crucial to dominating in the game.
  • When facing multiple enemies at once, it is best to engage by Ascending into Torrent Form. This form provides lots of crowd control effects making it good for Initiating fights.
  • If you’re aiming for the enemy’s backline or during 1v1 situation, Ascend into Thunder Form for maximum damage output and mobility.
  • In the Thunder Form, ensure your skills hit enemies as this will really reduce the Form’s cooldown, to the extent of you being able to use your Ultimate ability twice in this form. Thus, maxing out your damage potential and offensive.

Late Game

Okay, so I’ve been playing Sora, and let me tell you, he’s a beast late game. I can really focus on either taking and holding objectives or protecting my teammates from getting jumped. Because of that, teamwork is key. We need to work together to catch those enemies who push too far and just shut them down with a well-timed flank or gank. It’s all about coordinating with the team!

Team fights happen often in this part of the game, so switching to Torrent Form is a good idea. It provides better control and helps protect your team’s damage dealers (ADC and Jungle), giving them time to quickly eliminate the enemy team.

Focus on keeping your team’s primary damage dealer safe during important team fights late in the game. Work with your Jungler to take down powerful objectives like the Lord, and use your Thunder Form to deal a lot of damage. Here’s a skill combination you can use with Sora to maximize his effectiveness in the late game:

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Ult + Skill 1 + Skill 2
