The newest update to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Patch 2.1.86, includes changes and improvements to several heroes. It also features adjustments to the game’s systems and battlefields, and these changes are currently available on the Advanced Server.
This update will also include changes to Ranked Season Adjustments. Let’s take a detailed look at Patch 2.1.86 for Mobile Legends.
Mobile Legends Patch 2.1.86 Update: Hero Adjustments
This update uses arrows to show changes: an upward arrow (↑) means a hero has been buffed (made stronger), a downward arrow (↓) indicates a nerf (weakening), and a tilde (~) shows adjustments or other changes. Major changes in this patch were made to Kaja, Ruby, and Zhuxin – all of whom have been improved.
Aulus (Buffed)
Okay, so the developers tweaked Aulus. Now he really focuses down anyone already low on health, and it’s way easier to chase after enemies with him. Basically, he’s a much bigger threat to squishy targets and can stick to people better now.
Passive Attributes (↑)
Basic attacks now deal (120 + 20 hero Level) plus 75% of the target’s Total Physical Attack. This is an increase from the previous damage calculation of 75% Total Physical Attack + (4 + 0.4 hero Level)% of the target’s Max HP.
Skill 2 (↑)
Dash Distance: 2.8 >>> 3.2
Aurora (Buffed)
Skill 1 (↑)
Cooldown: 6-4s >>> 5-4s
Skill 2 (↑)
Cooldown: 12-8s >>> 10-8s
Cici (Buffed)
Passive (↑)
Stack Removal: 1 stack reduced every 0.3s >>> 1 stack reduced every 0.5s
Claude (Nerfed)
The devs has slightly reduced the hero’s mobility.
Skill 2 (↓)
Cooldown: 13-10.5s >>> 14-11.5s
Hirara (Adjusted)
Okay, so the developers just did a little tweaking. They made it feel better when I’m using Hirara’s skills, and they rolled back some of the changes they made last week. Plus, they messed with how much damage my combo skills actually do, so things should feel a bit more balanced now.
Passive (↑)
Removed the delay on Hirara’s Passive energy recovery.
Skill 1 (↓)
Cooldown: 7.8-5s >>> 8.5-5s
Skill 2 (~)
- Reduced the skill’s foreswing time.
- Damage: 165-270 (+55%-90% Extra Physical Attack) >>> 150-255 (+50%-85% Extra Physical Attack)
- Damage for 1st + 2nd Combo Skill (↑): 1 times Crimson Maple Damage >>> 2.5 times Crimson Maple Damage
- Damage for 2nd + 1st Combo Skill (↓): 4 times Crimson Maple Damage >>> 3.5 times Crimson Maple Damage
Revamped Kaja (Buffed)
Optimized the control experience of Revamped Kaja’s Skill 2 (Soaring State).
Skill 2 (↑)
- Cooldown: 17-14s >>> 15-12s
- Reduced the turn speed limit after soaring.
- The Devs also optimized the control experience of Skill 2 and reduced the foreswing and backswing.
- Cooldown after Soaring: 4s at all levels >>> 4-3s
- Flight Duration Increase on Hit: 2.6-3.6s >>> 2.6s at all levels
- New Effect: Hitting an ally also increases flight duration (no other effects).
Ultimate (↑)
Increased the speed at which the lasso follows Kaja’s movement.
Leomord (Nerfed)
We’ve made small adjustments to Leomord, reducing how quickly he can farm in the early game and his overall toughness during the middle and late stages of a match while he’s using his Ultimate ability.
Skill 1 (↓)
Damage Increase Against Creeps: 60% >>> 40%
Ultimate (↓)
Hybrid Defense Boost: 30-110 >>> 30-90
Ling (Buffed)
Slightly improved early-game jungling clear speed and damage of Ling.
Passive Attribute (↑)
Basic Attack Speed: 1.02 >>> 1.15
Skill 2 (↑)
- Cooldown: 2.5s >>> 2s
- Energy Cost: 35 >>> 30
Odette (Nerfed)
Odette’s Ultimate was moving too quickly due to the combined effects of her Skill 1 and Skill 2, so we’ve slowed it down. We’ve also adjusted the timing between casts of her Ultimate to make it easier to use without accidentally stopping it.
Ultimate (↓)
Slow Effect during Ultimate: 20% >>> 40%
Masha (Buffed)
We’ve resolved a bug that caused Masha to regain too much health in some cases. We also made changes to her abilities: Skill 2 can no longer critically hit, and her overall damage has been rebalanced.
Passive Attributes (~)
- Feral Regen: 15% of Max HP >>> 10% of Max HP
- Extra Damage: 2-8 (+ 1% Extra Physical Attack)% of target’s Max HP as Physical Damage >>> 1-4 (+3% Extra Physical Attack)% of target’s Max HP as Physical Damage
Skill 2 (↓)
Cooldown: 8-5s >>> 9-7s
Kalea (Adjusted)
The developers have changed how much damage Kalea deals. She’ll be weaker at the beginning of a match, but stronger as the game goes on.
Passive (~)
- Base Damage of the Second Basic Attack: 200 >>> 140 (+ 8*Hero Level)
- Base Damage of the Third Enhanced Basic Attack: 100 >>> 70 (+ 4*Hero Level)
Ruby (Buffed)
Skill 1 (↓)
- Scythe Damage: 280-480 (+100% Total Physical Attack) >>> 280-480 (+110% Total Physical Attack)
- Shockwave Damage: 140-240 (+50% Total Physical Attack) >>> 140-240 (+55% Total Physical Attack)
Zhuxin (Buffed)
Mana Regen from Each Crimson Butterfly: 4% >>> 5%
Suyou (Buffed)
The devs have reduced Suyou’s early-to-mid-game damage output.
Skill 2 (↓)
- Base Damage (Tap): 300-492 >>> 280-440
- Base Damage of the First 2 Strikes (Hold): 250-410 >>> 225-365
- Base Damage of the Final Strike (Hold): 400-656 >>> 360-584

System Adjustments
A. Highlights Notification
The team has improved how visual effects look in the notification area, particularly when you receive Likes from teammates. Now, the main and smaller notification areas will have different highlights, making them easier to distinguish. They’ve also added unique highlights for each hero, along with new voice-overs to announce highlight notifications.
B. Season Achievements
Starting with the new season, your best Style Plate from each game mode will automatically carry over from the previous season. We’ve also added more seasonal challenges and made some existing ones easier to complete. You can now find details about how to unlock each challenge, including required actions and visual cues, on the Achievement Details page.
C. Other Adjustments
Hero Difficulty Rating Update
As a player, I’m really glad the developers took the time to look at how hard each hero actually is to play and how they fit into matches right now. They’ve updated the difficulty ratings for almost everyone on the live servers, and it feels much more accurate to what I’ve been experiencing in-game. If you’re curious about the changes, you can check out the details on each hero’s page – they’ve already been updated!
Supreme Medal
The visuals for the Supreme Medal and Supreme MVP have been improved. The developers have also restored the original art quality for all previously earned Medals.
Beta Feature Testing
This week, our development team will be testing a new feature with a limited number of players on specific game servers. During this test, some features related to Highlights may be temporarily unavailable. We appreciate your patience.
