Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is officially launching its esports presence in India this year. The first event, the Moba Legends Master Series (MLMS), is open for team sign-ups in March. The winning team will automatically qualify for MSC 2026, which will be held as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) in mid-2026.
Mobile Legends was initially blocked in India in 2020. To get back into the market, the game was relaunched as Moba Legends: 5v5 in September 2024. Now, after being unavailable for a while, competitive gaming opportunities are starting to open up for Indian players.
Schedule and Format
Teams can register for the event starting March 10th, 2026, and registration will be open until March 19th. The qualifying rounds will then begin on March 23rd and continue for one week.
The event will have two phases. First, the League Stage will run from April 5th to April 26th. Then, the Grand Finals will be held on May 9th and 10th. The winning team will automatically qualify for MSC 2026, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Additional details like the format and how teams will face each other, etc., are not announced yet.
Prize Pool
The total prize money for this tournament hasn’t been revealed yet. However, the winner will automatically qualify for the main stage of the MSC 2026. Recently, the esports plans for 2026 were shared, and India was confirmed as a region with direct entry to the MSC 2026 Main Stage.

I’m so excited for this event! Right now, they’re planning for eight teams to compete, but since qualifying hasn’t begun yet, the final lineup isn’t set. I’ll be sure to update you with the team names as soon as the organizers make an announcement.
