As a die-hard Disney enthusiast with a soft spot for Polynesian culture and a heart that skips a beat for The Rock, I can hardly contain my excitement as I immerse myself in the magical world of Moana 2! The thought of watching Catherine Laga’aia bring the titular character to life on the big screen while working alongside John Tui and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is nothing short of a dream come true.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to share an interesting tidbit about the enchanting Catherine Laga’aia, who plays a pivotal role in the forthcoming live-action adaptation of Moana. During filming on a picturesque Hawaiian beach, our beloved actress experienced an unexpected mishap, taking a fall. Rest assured, this minor setback didn’t dampen her spirit or affect the magic she brings to the big screen.

17-year-old Australian actress, recently seen collaborating with her co-star John Tui, found herself in the midst of a movie production team after tripping on the sandy beachfront.

In the given scene, the up-and-coming figure wore a well-known fiery orange tube top and a customary beige hula skirt that resembled the main character’s attire.

Her brunette waves fell around her as she worked and she was barefoot.

In the given scene, it was absentee Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, aged 52, who will once again embody the character of demigod Maui, as seen in the initial animated movie.

The live-action day of filming comes as Moana 2 hits the box office.

Weeks ahead of its November 27 release, it was predicted to thrive at the box office.

According to the deadline set, AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron stated during a quarterly conference call that some insiders have hinted that Moana 2 might surpass and outshine the achievements of Inside Out 2.

Following earlier announcements about the Moana sequel’s first-day ticket presales breaking the annual record for animated films, exceeding even those of Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked, and Dune: Part 2, here’s a fresh take: The Moana sequel has reportedly set an all-time high for animated film ticket pre-orders on its first day, surpassing the sales of movies like Deadpool, Wolverine, Wicked, and Dune: Part 2.

The movie is anticipated to earn over $100 million during the period from Wednesday to Sunday over the Thanksgiving weekend.

So far, Inside Out 2 is the highest-grossing film of 2024, with over $1.6 billion in global sales.

In early October Johnson took to Instagram to tease the Moana follow-up.

Sharing with his 395 million fans, the seasoned performer unveiled the fresh movie poster and trailer.

In simpler terms, another post stated, “Are you ready for a ‘chee hoo’? The magical feeling of MOANA2 is approaching! Prepare for an extraordinary adventure both on and under the sea as we embark on this journey together.

‘THANK YOU for all of the excitement around the world for #Moana2. It’s almost time to set sail.’

He signed off, ‘See you in theaters November 27th ~ Maui, out.’

It was revealed back in February that a second movie featuring Moana is planned, and there have been discussions about bringing back 23-year-old actress Auli’i Cravalho as the title role, along with the character Maui, portrayed by Johnson.

Then, in August it was confirmed that they both would reprise their roles.
