Mo Gilligan posted an uncommon clip featuring the child he’s rumored to have fathered during a short-term romance with model Selina Christoforou, following her criticism that he hadn’t provided sufficient assistance.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like this: In the public eye, I’ve faced criticism from Christoforou, who alleges I showed little interest towards our son Rudi after his birth in early 2014.
On her various social media platforms, the 35-year-old model adorned with numerous tattoos asserted that she could easily recount, using both hands and feet, the number of times Gilligan, aged 37, had encountered the child during the past 17 months.
On Monday night, I was thrilled to see the renowned British actor share a heartwarming video – it seemed like a precious moment of bonding between him and his baby son, spending some quality time together.
In this short, monochrome video, we see an unidentified boy engrossed in a game, looking upward towards the lens.
As a lifestyle expert, I find myself deeply concerned about Gilligan’s parenting, given that I can easily recall with my fingers and toes the number of times I’ve seen him interact with his newborn son – which is quite limited.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share this intriguing tidbit about my favorite comedian: It seems there was a brief romantic chapter in his life with the lovely Selina, prior to the arrival of her son, Rudi. This bit of information, though not confirmed, adds another layer of depth to the captivating story of their lives.
In a widely-shared TikTok video, Christoforou asserts that Mo hasn’t regularly been involved in his own son’s upbringing.
In her own words, she disclosed: “At last, I shared an update about my son’s father on Instagram. Here’s some news for you…
If you haven’t followed my Instagram yet, it’s understandable since Mo Gilligan is his father, although he said that with a lot of quotes around it.
For almost a year, I carried my child alone during pregnancy, and since then, I’ve raised him single-handedly as well.
For the initial phase of his life, he was almost completely disregarded, with minimal interaction since then – if I were to guess, I could likely count on my fingers and toes how many times we’ve actually met. Despite my hopes that things would improve, they have not. It needs to get better.
Rudi, who’s my boy, is simply astounding; he’s an extraordinary kid. He brings such immense delight that it feels overwhelming. I found myself often thinking that this joy was more than enough.
It’s evident that he cannot become a father, and he has unequivocally expressed no desire to do so. However, there seems to be a shift in his perspective, suggesting a potential change of heart about fatherhood.

It is reported that Christoforou conceived a child following their online relationship with Gilligan, and chose to raise the child even though the news came as a surprise to them both, being cautious individuals.
Daily Mail contacted a representative for Gilligan, who declined to comment.
The news that he had seemingly become a father had been kept confidential until this week, when it emerged that Mo had secretly fathered a child and is expecting another with a different woman, his partner Taia Tulher, who is 28 years old.
Reports indicate that Gilligan, known for his role on The Masked Singer, is due to welcome a new addition within a few weeks alongside Taia.
It’s believed they’ve been secretly seeing each other for about two years, and now reside together in London.

Previously, Gilligan parted ways with his long-term partner, actress Sophie Wise, towards the close of 2022, and subsequently, news emerged that he had been seeking a new romantic connection on the exclusive celebrity dating platform, Raya.
Initially, Taia announced her pregnancy via an Instagram post in March, yet she never disclosed the identity of her companion.
Showing off her expanding belly, she titled her post: “Today, I bear the love that created me, the love I’ve been familiar with… and the love I’m just starting to truly grasp.
For quite some time, I had been unsure about when to reveal this. However, it seems fitting now. Today, on Mother’s Day, not only do I get to honor my own mother, but I also find myself becoming a mother myself, albeit in a smaller way.
In his twenties, Gilligan openly discussed his battles with mental health issues that surfaced as he was climbing the ladder of success. Later on, he sought out therapy to assist him in dealing with these challenges.
In 2017, the comedian gained widespread recognition following a series of popular videos on social media platforms. This breakthrough paved the way for numerous high-profile television appearances, such as The Masked Singer, which he joined as a judge in 2020.
During a conversation with Jamie Laing on the Great Company podcast on Wednesday, Gilligan confessed that he became disconnected from himself as wealth accumulated – however, therapy enabled him to shatter his barriers and foster meaningful relationships.
He admitted, ‘Although I achieved what I’d longed for – getting that huge check – I’m not as happy as I thought I would be. It feels more overwhelming than fulfilling.’
In my journey towards a balanced lifestyle, I found myself grappling with profound feelings of depression. It was during this challenging phase that I decided to embark on a therapeutic journey. You see, I had been suppressing my emotions in my twenties, constructing a defensive barrier instead of expressing my feelings. When the depression hit, it was as if that dam burst, and all those suppressed emotions came pouring out.

Through therapy, I’ve learned to express myself more freely, not just with my therapist, but also with others. It has allowed me to show my true self and foster connections.
2022 found me beaming with pride as I stood there, clutching the prestigious BAFTA TV Award for Best Comedy Entertainment Programme. In that heartfelt moment, I chose to use my platform to shed light on a topic close to my heart – mental health.
Gosh, I’m feeling quite jittery. I need to express my gratitude towards Channel 4. You know, back in 2017 when they offered me a show, my mental well-being wasn’t at its strongest,” he mused.
Channel 4 escorted me into a large structure. They had faith in me, allowing me to express myself authentically and share the essence of joyful Black masculinity on their broadcasts.
In 2023, the comedian faced a setback when he lost not one but two TV hosting roles within just a week.
In the year mentioned, I shared the news that Channel 4’s The Lateish Show wouldn’t be renewed for another season following its fourth series. Subsequently, my BBC program, That’s My Jam, was cancelled after just one season by the network.
As luck would have it, I was personally chosen by the legendary American comedian and chat show host, Jimmy Fallon, for this incredible program. The concept of the show is inspired by the captivating music-themed segments from his renowned talk show, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Gilligan also presented the BRIT Awards for two yeas in a row, but stepped down in 2023.
