Let’s take a look at Marcel, the new support hero in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and when he might be available on the official servers.
Okay, so I’ve been checking out this new hero on the advanced server for Mobile Legends, Marcel, and he’s seriously different. He’s a support, but his whole thing is messing with time! Like, he can basically freeze everything – enemy attacks, even his teammates’ skills. If you play him right with a good team, it can lead to some crazy, game-changing plays. It’s super fun to experiment with!
Now, let’s take a closer look at the new Mobile Legends hero, Marcel, covering his abilities and when we might see him released.
MLBB Marcel skills explained based on the advanced server
I’ve found Marcel is really easy to learn – his abilities are pretty simple to get the hang of. But once you really understand what he can do, he becomes super fun and effective to play. It’s seriously rewarding when everything clicks!
Passive: Platinum Snap
Marcel’s attacks deal extra physical damage based on his attack power, physical defense, and magic defense, though they can’t critically hit. He recovers health quickly on his own and doesn’t gain any benefit from increasing his attack speed. Plus, some of his extra health automatically boosts his overall defenses.
Clemar, a part of Marcel’s spirit, automatically takes pictures of nearby enemy heroes. These photos briefly stun the heroes and deal damage based on their maximum health – the amount of damage increases as Marcel levels up. Marcel then gains a shield equal to the damage he dealt, and one nearby teammate can also receive this shield. Clemar can’t photograph the same hero very often, but Marcel’s attacks can speed up how quickly he’s able to do so.
This ability encourages players to focus on building health and defensive items for Marcel. It also shapes how you play him, rewarding you for staying near both your teammates and opponents to get the most out of it.
Skill 1: Framed Moment
Clemar targets an area near Marcel. After a brief pause, he fires, inflicting substantial physical damage to nearby enemies. The damage increases based on Marcel’s combined physical and magical defenses and attack power, and also briefly stuns those hit.
This ability easily controls groups of enemies and can deal significant damage, especially if you’ve invested in defensive gear.
Skill 2: Tracking Shot
Marcel briefly gains increased movement speed when he activates Tracking Haste. This speed boost is much greater when he’s chasing after enemy heroes.
Okay, so when I use this ability, my character, Marcel, sprints forward, but leaves a ghostly image of himself behind to confuse enemies. Meanwhile, Clemar actually stays put where I started, as long as Framed Moment is still going. It’s like a decoy and a safe anchor point all in one!
This ability allows Marcel to quickly pursue enemies, like a paparazzi chasing a celebrity. This increased speed helps him effectively apply the negative effects from his unique passive ability.
Ultimate: Golden Hour
After a short pause, Clemar quickly captures a wide view of the target zone. Simultaneously, Marcel activates a speed boost within that area, while all other characters are temporarily frozen – unable to move or take damage except from Marcel himself. Any ranged attacks or projectiles also freeze, dealing less damage when the effect wears off.
Golden Hour resets the cooldown of Platinum Snap against all affected enemies.
Marcel’s ultimate ability is incredibly unique in Mobile Legends. It creates a frozen zone where all movement stops – affecting heroes, minions, summons, and even attacks. The amazing part is that only Marcel himself can move within this frozen area. When the ability ends, everything resumes moving simultaneously.
What really makes this ability dangerous is that you can keep attacking and using skills within the frozen area while it lasts. All those attacks hang in the air, frozen in time. When the effect ends, everything happens all at once, creating a huge, unexpected wave of damage that can quickly defeat anyone trapped inside.
When is the release date for Marcel in MLBB?
Moonton hasn’t announced when the new support hero, Marcel, will be officially available in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Right now, you can try him out on the advanced server. Just remember he’s still a work in progress and might be updated before the official release. Based on how long it took to release previous heroes, like the fighter Sora, we can try to guess when Marcel might arrive.
MOONTON Games typically launches new heroes when a new Ranked Season begins. Based on this pattern, we anticipate Marcel will become playable in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang around early to mid-March 2026.
