Following a limited release, the mobile strategy game Magic Chess: Go Go from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to go global.
Magic Chess Go Go worldwide launch
Magic Chess Go Go is set to debut globally on May 28, 2025, as confirmed by MOONTON Games. Players can enjoy the game on both iOS and Android devices.
Initially made available for play following a trial run in Malaysia and Singapore towards the end of the previous year, it was later launched fully across the Asia-Pacific region in February 2025. Currently, this game boasts more than 20 million people who have pre-registered for it.
What is Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG)?
Magic Chess Go Go, created by the same developers as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, is an auto-battler where players become miniature commanders, featuring compact versions of MLBB characters. The goal is to demonstrate superior strategic skills within the game.
In this game, you face off against six other players, gradually enhancing your army units and strategic alliances to bolster your playing field. The objective is to outmatch all the other competitors in the room to secure the victory. This gaming style echoes that of auto battler games such as Dota Auto Chess and Teamfight Tactics.
This time, though, the units are familiar MLBB heroes.
Release globally concurrently is when MCGG Season 2: Blessing of Embers drops, introducing an additional aspect to the gameplay experience. The new “Blessing” mechanism offers players a fresh approach for enhancing their characters and battlefield setup by enabling them to assign an extra Synergy or Role to a hero.
According to Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer at MOONTON Games, the community’s feedback towards our APAC Grand Launch has been incredibly favorable. Not only are we experiencing a rapid increase in our user base, but there’s also substantial interaction from content creators; users are consistently racking up millions of views daily through gameplay videos, tutorials, and live streams.
