Mission: Impossible cast reveal what it’s really like to work with “very vocal” Tom Cruise
Despite not having seen any “Mission: Impossible” movies, you might still know about the breathtaking stunts performed by Tom Cruise in each film. But what’s it like working with him off-camera?
Instead of asking him directly, we thought it would be beneficial to consult his co-stars from the latest Mission: Impossible film, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”. Among them is Simon Pegg, who has collaborated with Cruise on no less than five Mission: Impossible movies over a span of two decades.
In his conversation with Digital Spy, Pegg stated that he motivates you to strive for the same level of diligence and commitment as him. If he approves of something you do, it’s a fantastic feeling, like “Wow, Tom appreciated my work!”… However, Tom is not one to boast about himself. He always manages to direct the conversation back to you instead.

As a gamer diving into the world of ‘Mission: Impossible’, I can vouch for Tom Cruise being an outspoken guy, always eager to share his thoughts and praise others generously.
It’s as if everyone has an infectious enthusiasm and determination to improve, push themselves harder, and constantly test their limits. This shared passion is evident across all departments of the film production, making it a breathtaking experience to witness so many diverse talents working harmoniously towards a common goal.
Besides playing Ethan Hunt in every Mission: Impossible film, Tom Cruise has also taken up the role of producer for the entire series.
It’s something that isn’t ignored by Angela Bassett when it comes to the success of the series.
She highly commended him, stating that no one works as tirelessly or is as dedicated as he is. Additionally, she noted that there’s no one more open-armed and generous than him, both in his acting and producing roles, and as the head of this series.
As a gamer, I can say it feels like the game’s creator is always by my side, even when he’s not directly in the scene. He’s got his fingers on every aspect of the game, constantly watching, guiding, and making crucial decisions. He’s an integral part of every creative move made in this gaming world we share.
For Greg Tarzan Davis, reprising his role as Theo Degas in “The Final Reckoning“, there was an additional aspect of collaborating with Cruise that brought him joy: this time around, Degas aligns with the IMF.
Pursuing Tom as he runs feels exhausting, with all this chasing. If I had to chase him throughout the whole movie, I don’t think I’d enjoy it,” he mused.
Being here on this side of the fence is way more enjoyable since these people are my kin, and I can share this experience with them both on and off camera. Consequently, performing alongside them brings a unique delight, one that isn’t overshadowed by the need to run around all day.
And we definitely don’t blame him for that.
In the United Kingdom, the movie “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” will be screened starting from May 21st. Meanwhile, American audiences can catch it in cinemas from May 23rd onwards.
Grab your copy of “British Comedy Legends” from newsstands or online stores, currently going for only £3.99.
