Missing You trailer: A detective discovers missing fiancé on a dating app

As a seasoned gamer and binge-watcher of thrillers and mysteries, I can confidently say that the upcoming Netflix series, “Missing You,” has piqued my interest like no other! With its gripping plotline and star-studded cast, it’s shaping up to be a rollercoaster ride filled with suspense, drama, and unexpected twists.

Hey there, enthusiasts of horror and thrillers! Netflix has just released the official trailer for Harlan Coben’s upcoming television series adaptation, “Missing You“, and we can hardly wait to catch a glimpse of this exciting new show! Take a look at it right below.

In “Missing You”, the narrative revolves around Detective Kat Donovan whose life takes an unexpected turn when she stumbles upon her long-lost fiancé on a dating app, 11 years after his disappearance. This startling revelation sends waves of emotions and stirs up fresh doubts. The question that lingers is: what really happened to her vanished fiancé, Josh? Eager for answers, Kat delves deeper into the truth, but each step she takes only seems to put her life at risk.

Rosalind Eleazar, famously recognized for her roles as Louisa Guy in “Slow Horses” and Dr. Vivienne McCann in “Class of ’09”, takes on the leading character Kat Donovan in this gripping series. Long-time collaborator of author Coben, Richard Armitage, is also part of the cast. The remaining cast members include Ashley Walters, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, Lisa Faulkner, and James Nesbitt.

The TV show “Missing You” is inspired by Harlan Coben’s 2014 bestselling novel of the same name. Although the book’s narrative unfolds in America, for the series, the main setting was shifted to the United Kingdom. This marks Coben’s ninth adaptation for Netflix, following the release of his latest thriller series “Fool Me Once” earlier this year. Currently, a tenth adaptation, titled “Run Away”, is being developed at Netflix.

Quay Street Productions is responsible for creating the show “Missing You”. Coben contributes to this production through his company Final Twist Productions as an executive producer. Alongside him, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, Victoria Asare-Archer, and Danny Brocklehurst also serve as executive producers on this project. Furthermore, episodes for the show have been directed by Nimer Rashed and Isher Sahota based on scripts penned by Victoria Asare-Archer.

Similar to other Netflix series from author Harlan Coben, “Missing You” is structured as a limited series, which means it will consist of just one season. Mark your calendars, as all five episodes of the show are scheduled to premiere on Netflix on January 1, 2025 – that’s New Year’s Day! The premiere time for these episodes will be 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (3:00 a.m. Eastern Time) on that date. Be sure to jot down the date and time so you don’t miss it!

Given that the release date is still some time away, it would be a great idea to check out Coben’s other eight series available on Netflix in the meantime. These include “Gone for Good”, “Stay Close”, “The Innocent”, “Safe”, “The Stranger”, “Hold Tight”, “The Woods” and “Fool Me Once”. Before you realize it, January 1st will be here!
