Miranda Kerr’s Secret to Youthful Skin: Dry Body Brushing!
Miranda Kerr, widely recognized as Australia’s most accomplished supermodel, seems hardly to have aged at all since gracing the Victoria’s Secret catwalk, even after her 42nd birthday celebration.
In a recent conversation with ELLE magazine, the creator of Kora Organics shares her preferred daily beauty routine, which she believes contributes to her consistently radiant appearance. However, it’s worth noting that this routine isn’t exclusively attributed as the secret behind her youthful glow.
‘A beauty routine I swear by is dry body brushing,’ Miranda said in a video shared on Thursday.
Every morning, I perform this routine before stepping into the shower, and I truly enjoy how it enhances blood flow. It leaves me feeling fantastic.
Utilizing a dry, bristled brush for massage and exfoliation is a method called dry body brushing. This method aims to enhance blood flow and stimulate the lymphatic system within your skin.
It’s a form of self-care often associated with Ayurveda – a traditional Indian system of medicine.

As a devoted enthusiast, I simply can’t get enough of the buzz surrounding dry brushing! It’s often linked to enhancing skin texture, minimizing cellulite visibility, and even boosting detoxification – though it’s important to note that not all these benefits are backed by extensive scientific evidence. (According to Healthline’s website)
As a devoted skincare enthusiast, I personally find that using a brush with stiff, all-natural bristles in a circular motion not only feels invigorating but is thought to enhance blood circulation and aid my skin in expelling impurities more effectively by sloughing off dead skin cells.
By promoting perspiration, I help facilitate the body’s natural detoxification process. In essence, this means that fewer toxins circulate within the lymphatic system.
Supporters of this skincare routine think it might boost collagen levels and help hide the look of cellulite as well.
While there’s not a lot of scientific proof backing up these assertions, it seems that dry brushing is generally safe for most individuals as it doesn’t appear to lead to significant harm.
To dry-brush herself, Miranda employs extended strokes moving towards her heart, starting from her feet and going upward.
Instead of making circular motions on delicate spots such as the abdomen and underarms, she finishes by washing off and moisturizing her entire body after completing the process.
In her video, Miranda explained that she believes the reason for her glowing skin is due to using potent and efficient organic skincare products.
‘Certified organic ingredients contain up to 60 per cent more antioxidants and no nasty chemicals.’

In her own words, the model shared the story behind her deep-rooted interest in skincare.
She mentioned that she developed the Kora Organics product line following a concerning health incident experienced by her mother, Theresa Kerr.
Miranda explained that since her mother had been diagnosed with tumors in her spleen, our entire family had to look into the substances that we put into and apply onto our bodies.
‘And what we learned is that what you put on your skin soaks in.’
