As I delve into the heartwarming tale of Miranda Hart, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration for this extraordinary woman. Her journey from the small screen to real-life love is nothing short of inspiring. The way she found her perfect match who cherishes her not for her fame, but for her authentic self, is truly heartening.
On the very day my heart was bursting with excitement, I couldn’t help but shout from the rooftops (or at least social media) that the fabulous Miranda Hart had shared a post celebrating her uniquely charming, adorable, eccentric, amazing, slightly askew self! It was such a joyous moment for me, an ardent fan, to witness this outpouring of genuine self-love on the release of her brilliant book.
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share that the comedian, now 51, has written a memoir titled “I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You.” In this heartfelt book, she confides that she secretly tied the knot after an unexpected encounter with love at the age of 49.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Miranda shared a photo of herself posing with a copy of her book.
She wrote: Happy Publication Day to me! Big love to everyone – we are all in this mysterious, marvellous but challenging life together.
Embrace kindness, particularly towards the unique, radiant, adorable, quirky, exceptional version of yourself that we all embody. Spread love generously. <3

In the publication, it’s disclosed that Miranda has been dealing with Lyme disease, a persistent bacterial infection. She detailed her struggles with prolonged tension due to viral infections and injuries as her main sources of stress, and also mentioned years of apprehension stemming from incorrect diagnoses.
Next to her latest post, she said: ‘I didn’t find a universal medical remedy for chronic conditions, but I did discover ways to live fulfillingly and happily amidst them. These insights can be beneficial in navigating any difficult situations in life.’
I’m hoping there could be a benefit for you here. If that’s not the case, I still hope you find pleasure in my tale and the warmth it carries. Lots of love.
After the delightful disclosure by Miranda about her new spouse, following her surprise discovery of love at the age of 49, I found myself reflecting on the beauty of unexpected connections that can blossom into lasting relationships.
On a Tuesday night, it was verified that Miranda got married to the gentleman she encountered during the lockdown, as he visited her £2 million home to repair some mold.
The comedian spoke highly of her recently wed spouse, whom she referred to as “The Man from Bristol” or “The Gray-Haired Gentleman,” while maintaining his anonymity. She praised his physical appearance, commenting on his striking good looks, refined facial structure, and distinguished salt-and-pepper hair.
Miranda made the shock revelation in the final pages of her new memoir, I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You.
A buzz was created when she showed off a golden wedding band a week ago, and now it’s official – the comedian has admitted to having found true love.

In her recently published memoir, she shares that she encountered her dearest friend and soulmate who offers me an abundance of silliness, laughter, happiness, backing, concern, and security beyond what I believed a single person could provide. This extraordinary individual came into my life because he was the building inspector responsible for the restoration project following the loss of my home due to mold sickness.
‘Yes my love was Mr Mould Man/ My Mr Mould Man/ The Boy/ The Boy from Bristol/ The Boyfriend.
To be completely transparent, we aren’t just dating; we’re actually married! The joyous occasion took place when I turned 51 years old.
Miranda shared that her friends found it hard to believe when she began dating him, as the UK was under lockdown at the time, and her home was plagued by persistent damp problems.
She stated: ‘Every time I shared with my friends that I had encountered someone, they would all react doubtfully, commenting on how unlikely it was during housebound illness and a global pandemic for a knight in shining armor to show up at the doorstep. Yet, surprisingly enough, he did appear… to help me out.’
On the set of The One Show last night, I couldn’t hide my joy when I exclaimed to co-hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott, “I’ve found the one!” It was a delightful moment as I shared that I stumbled upon ‘my partner’ at the age of 49.
At the age of 51, I tied the knot, and it’s been an absolutely delightful experience ever since! It wasn’t until I turned 49 that I encountered my soulmate, whom I had initially corresponded with as Gary regarding the character Miranda.
She continued: ‘It’s a little undercurrent in the book, I’m not going to reveal how we met because that’s a little bit of a twist.’
‘He’s my best friend, we had the best fun and I’m just thrilled to be a young bride at 51.’

Miranda is known for keeping her personal life private, especially regarding her romantic relationships, and has often been assumed to be unattached by the public.
For several years now, the comedian has been absent from many acting roles and hasn’t reappeared on Call the Midwife because of an ongoing, undisclosed health issue. She recently disclosed that this ailment is actually Lyme disease.
She revealed she was battling the bacterial infection spread by ticks, that can cause general flu-like symptoms, including fatigue, headache, swollen joints and a fever.
However, in her book, she expressed that she found herself back in a state of happiness and tranquility following an unexpected physical recovery and encountering the man who later became her spouse.
They initiated their relationship by talking on the phone throughout the pandemic and had their first date in her living room while munching on a platter of biscuits. There was no apprehension about taking that awkward first kiss, since they needed to maintain a safe distance of two meters apart.
He’d escort her for strolls in the park, guide her to a pottery workshop, and plan excursions along the Dorset coastline, stopping by Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door during their travels together.
Miranda confessed that she instantly took a liking to the man with a mix of salt-and-pepper hair as she went on to describe: ‘I went on a date for the first time in… It’s not important, let’s continue… quite surprising given that one moment I was dealing with my diagnosis in a shed during the pandemic, and the next I’m telling you about meeting a guy who is worth making plans to see again.’
Before our initial date, I had developed quite a liking for him even though we’d only met once briefly and spoken a few times over the phone. That was back in the ’90s style, you could say.
In my pursuit of fostering genuine relationships, I’ve chosen to embrace authenticity and eschew self-concealment or artificial emotions. To cultivate an honest bond, I opted to be open about my vulnerabilities. With each beat of my racing heart, I stepped through the door towards him, ready to forge a connection that was as sincere as possible.
Afterward, they savored their initial getaway together, which was filled with romance, in the beautiful region of Dorset. They leased a quaint cottage there, and their affection for each other deepened to an almost desperate extent before he popped the question.
Four years on, a pivotal instant that might have stirred excitement among Miranda’s followers, he proposed to her during a stroll along a wooden bridge spanning a lake at Kew Gardens in the chilly month of January.
Miranda shared that her boyfriend proposed they take a stroll at Kew Gardens. As we walked, it turned charming, and it felt enchanting when the sunlight began piercing through the gloomy clouds just as we neared a broad, curved bridge spanning a lake.

I sensed my partner gently clutching my hand, a sign that he was deeply moved by the scenic beauty around us.
‘That was true, but it turned out his heart was starting to race for another reason.
On the bridge, with the tranquil lake below us, we remained motionless until a moment arrived when he spoke gravely, calling out “Miranda.” I swiveled to face him, at which point he knelt down on one knee.
To her countless admirers, this victory resonates deeply since they’ve been following her semi-autobiographical character on the BBC sitcom, Miranda, for six years as she endeavored to find a husband.
In my own words as his devoted follower, I penned: “Indeed, when we’ve conversed about my profession, we’d often share a hearty chuckle, acknowledging the minimal insight he has into its workings.
If a program featuring me were to air, he’d tune out promptly because he had no interest in knowing the TV personality. It was truly gratifying when someone acknowledged that I was genuine and appreciated qualities about myself that I may not have recalled myself.
The actor from Call the Midwife explained that they decided to pause, as they weren’t certain if it was the appropriate moment for them to form a new partnership, referred to here as “us.
However, they reconnected, and she penned: ‘The Person I Used to Know Transformed into My Perfect Match – Someone I Never Thought I’d Encounter.’
Miranda, believed to possess a wealth of around £5 million, unexpectedly found herself in the limelight following the instant popularity of her 2009 BBC series, where she was portrayed by Patricia Hodge as her domineering mother.
For many years, British viewers turned on their TV screens during the workweek to follow the comedic series featuring a socially-awkward character, played by this comic. The audience would laugh and squirm as she embarked on various romantic misadventures, often ending up in disastrous dating scenarios.
In reality, she humorously commented on her challenging romantic experiences, stating: “I was quite inexperienced sexually. My initial partner suggested the missionary position, and I took a six-month trip to Africa instead.
While publicising her autobiography last week she wrote: ‘Big news – book out in a week. I share lots of stories of my last decade – mainly what I have learnt living with chronic illness – but there’s lots of fun and some of my own big news.’
Following her disclosure about her long-term struggle with an unspoken ailment that led to weight gain, she experienced feelings of embarrassment as she no longer recognized herself.
“The title of the video states: I’ve struggled immensely with feelings of shame due to weight gain over the past three years.
Instead of pursuing a specific aesthetic, I find that it doesn’t truly reflect my authentic self. However, life has its unexpected twists, and sometimes illness arises, altering the course of things.
“It’s also beneficial to continually prioritize self-compassion as our foremost healer. Even if I waver in my ability to practice it, I am assured of love. Farewell.
