At the conclusion of the video, Miranda playfully hinted at something to her fans, as she enthusiastically slapped hands with her spouse – a gesture made following her expression of gratitude towards the fans for their affectionate well-wishes upon hearing the joyful announcement.

She mentioned: “Hey, I’m heading back home now, with Patty dozing off in my seat, and I simply wanted to express my gratitude for the wonderful messages you’ve sent regarding the recent news. Thank you!

‘It’s really very touching that you should be very happy that I’m happy and I really, really am.

“I have an amazing companion for this journey called life, and it’s simply fantastic! Additionally, I am overjoyed to be back in the world of telecommunications and publishing a new book.

‘Um so yeah, thanks so much for all your support.’

She finished: ‘High-five husband.’

The comedian appeared on the BBC show to promote her new book I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You, in which she writes about her mystery new husband.

Addressing both Alex Jones and Alex Scott, Miranda joyfully exclaimed “I found my partner!” when she disclosed that she had met her significant other at the age of 49, a moment symbolized by the act of putting on a wedding ring.

She shared that she is happily married, having tied the knot at the age of 51, and found herself filled with delight! She also mentioned that she corresponded with Gary regarding the on-screen character Miranda, but it wasn’t until she was 49 years old that she encountered her soulmate. The actress emphasized that she wished those reading her book would find inspiration in her love story, as she expressed; ‘Given that I found a companion during a pandemic, while battling chronic illness and being confined to bed or home, I truly, deeply yearned for companionship, no longer wanting to face life alone.’

In my own experience, encountering someone new isn’t just a cliche from a romantic comedy, but instead, it serves as a beacon of hope. No matter what circumstances you find yourself in, always remember that hope persists; situations can and do evolve for the better.

Initially, whispers circulated about the mysterious new man in her life while promoting her memoir. In her unique way of hinting, she playfully suggested, “I won’t confirm if there’s a love story in it…” (Indeed, there is – keep it under wraps, it’s quite exciting.).

At home, I lay in bed feeling unwell and uncertain about my condition as doctors were puzzled. Since I couldn’t escape to a yoga retreat, I started pondering over life’s fundamental truths. After extensive research spanning multiple years, I found ten essential principles that I consider priceless for living a fulfilling life, which I later compiled in a book.

‘I’m living a life of joy and meaning and fulfilment which I never had before.’ 

Regarding future plans for the celebrity, she shared with The One Show that following her book release, she is eager to get back to some lighthearted antics. She yearns for humor and at present doesn’t have any concrete ideas, as they haven’t fully formed yet. However, she expressed a longing to engage in playful activities again.

In a video for the book launch in August, she disclosed that she’s been dealing with a hidden health issue, leading to weight increase during recent years.

The comedian expressed that she’s felt uncomfortable due to weight gain, not as a pursuit of a particular beauty standard, but because it makes her feel unlike her usual self.

In the video Miranda said she has worked hard to remove the negative feelings about her body.

The title of the video states: “I’ve struggled significantly with feeling ashamed due to weight gain over the past three years.

Instead of pursuing a certain aesthetic, I find that the image doesn’t align with my authentic self. However, life takes unexpected turns, and sometimes illness occurs.
