As a long-time fan of monster-themed games and someone who had high hopes for Miraibo GO, I must admit I am deeply disappointed by the sudden turn of events. Just when the game was starting to gain traction and immerse players into its captivating world, we receive news of its shutdown due to a copyright dispute with Nintendo. It’s a bit ironic that a game inspired by Pokémon gets taken down by the very franchise it was mimicking.
It has been announced that DREAMCUBE will be closing down their open-world survival game, Miraibo GO, which was inspired by Palworld. The closure is set for January 17, 2025. The developers explained that the shutdown is a result of changes in their game development and operational strategies; however, it’s primarily due to a copyright issue with Nintendo.
Miraibo Go is set to shutdown after just a month of service due to a copyright dispute with Nintendo
Miraibo Go is an adventure game set in an open world, heavily inspired by the well-known monster-themed game with guns, Palworld. This title boasts more than 100 classic monsters, each possessing distinct abilities and elements. Players can capture and control these creatures to traverse the world, engage in combat with adversaries, and delegate tasks such as farming, gathering, and production. Additionally, it incorporates a system reminiscent of Pokémon Go, enabling players to catch monsters by launching orbs at them when they are defenseless.
Regrettably, the Miraibo Go team has disclosed that they will shut down all activities on January 17, 2025, citing changes in their development and operational strategies. Although we had predicted this scenario, it’s surprising to see it occur so soon after the game was released only a month ago.

As I dived into this thrilling new world, I couldn’t help but notice some striking resemblances to games I’ve loved before, like Palworld and Pokémon Go. It seemed inevitable, considering the buzz around it and the legal action Nintendo took against Palworld due to similarities – although, in the end, they didn’t win their case.
You will be able to play Miraibo Go until the termination date
The game has temporarily halted game-topping services, but it’s still playable until a closure date in December 2024. Important to note, the “Free World” will shut down on this specific date. Furthermore, the VIP membership and guild servers will be turned off on January 17, 2025. On that very day, all other game functions will end as well, meaning you won’t be able to access any of the game’s worlds after this point.
If you’ve invested in our game, here’s some positive news: You have the option to claim a refund for any unused VIP membership and guild servers before the service discontinuation date. Please note that not all purchases may be eligible for a refund, which is somewhat disappointing. To request your refund, you can use your payment platforms such as Google Play or App Store. Also, please be aware that the game is no longer available for download on either app store.
