Amanda Byram has given birth to a baby boy! 

On Valentine’s Day, the 51-year-old Irish television host revealed the birth of their second “miraculous child” with her husband, TV producer Julian Okines, following an unexpected delivery.

The pair endured a lengthy and tiring IVF experience, eventually giving birth to their first child, Phoenix, in the year 2021.

Sharing a sweet photo of the newborn, Amanda revealed they had chosen to name him Jett. 

Today, our little family of three has grown to four! Allow me to introduce the newest addition to our household – the most amazing, sweet-tempered soul, Jett Indy Byram Okines. We’re overjoyed to welcome him into our lives!

Jett’s unexpected appearance took us by surprise. My seemingly quiet pregnancy took an abrupt turn when I went into labor a month prematurely… and just 36 hours later, our second son made his grand entrance as if he had always been part of our family!

She expressed: “We realize how incredibly fortunate we are to experience a second extraordinary event in our lives, and we’re deeply thankful for every exceptional doctor and nurse who supported us throughout our in-vitro fertilization process.

Experiencing it as lengthy, tiring, and heart-wrenchingly difficult at moments, I must admit, yet if presented with the opportunity, I’d keep every step intact because it paved the way for me to be where I am now – surrounded by my two remarkable sons, one who holds a piece of my heart, and the other, a piece of my soul.

I truly believe that what I’m about to share might serve as an inspiring tale for expectant parents out there. I understand the challenges we face, but remember, miracles do happen!

In 2016, the presenter tied the knot with Julian, and in November 2021, she welcomed their child, Phoenix, having concealed her pregnancy all along.

At that point, Amanda posted on Instagram for the first time the picture of their newborn son, along with a detailed message describing her ‘arduous and emotionally challenging’ path towards fertility.

Experiencing our quest for fertility has been a prolonged and arduous process, one where we’ve felt the sting of disappointment as initial optimism transformed into despair, joy turned to sorrow, and tension as this personal endeavor collided with professional obligations, friendships, and daily life. This struggle, often kept private, weighs heavily on us.

At that moment, she expressed, “You know, I’m currently 42 years old. To be honest, I hadn’t been keen on taking that path until I felt absolutely certain I’d found the right person…

‘Women often face decisions where they might choose to act alone, or partner up with someone who may not be the ideal match. Alternatively, they could hold out for the perfect person but risk finding that the opportunity has passed…’

We’ve spent 18 months as a couple, and I’m pleased to say that health-wise, everything is fine for me. There don’t seem to be any issues on that front. With luck, we may not know what the future holds; it’s up to fate, in a way.
