Minnie Driver opens up about finding love in her fifties and says she’s ‘so glad’ fiancé Addison O’Dea came into her life as she makes rare comments about their relationship

Minnie Driver has opened up about finding love in her 50s with her fiancé Addison O’Dea.

The 55-year-old actress has previously dated several well-known actors, including Matt Damon, John Cusack, and Josh Brolin. She also has a 17-year-old son named Henry with Timothy J Lea.

Minnie is now engaged to a 46-year-old American filmmaker. They’ve been together since the beginning of 2019, but generally prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye.

Minnie recently shared some personal thoughts in an interview, revealing details about her relationship and encouraging women to prioritize their own happiness instead of feeling pressured to find a partner.

She shared with Grazia magazine that she fully accepts the idea you might not meet anyone new ever again. She suggests really considering that possibility and becoming happily comfortable with it.

Whether someone new comes into your life or not is okay. I would have been perfectly happy if Addison hadn’t, but I’m really glad that he did.

‘But we’ve got to get over the idea that we are incomplete if we don’t have a man. It’s not true.’

Minnie recently appeared in the Netflix series Run Away. The eight-episode show is based on a popular crime thriller and centers around Simon Greene (James Nesbitt) as he desperately looks for his missing daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange).

The Good Will Hunting actress plays James’ character’s wife Ingrid.

According to Harlan Coben, the creator and author of the original novel, ‘Run Away’ explores the complexities of family – the lengths people will go to protect their loved ones, the secrets families hold, and the shared secrets that bind them together.

He pointed out that behind every home lies a hidden world, completely unknown to those who pass by. It’s like a whole universe exists within, and we have no idea what’s happening inside.

Minnie is adding another role to her resume! She’ll be appearing in season five of Emily in Paris as Princess Jane, a member of a royal family through marriage.

Last month, at the film’s premiere in France, the star and Addison were seen holding hands on the red carpet, appearing affectionate and supportive of each other.

Minnie looked stunning in a sparkling black dress with a square neckline, and she completed her look with black heels.

The screen star wore her hair in an elegant updo and sported a bronzed tan.

While Addison looked ever so dapper in a black velvet tuxedo and a white shirt. 

Minnie publicly revealed her relationship with Addison in 2019 by posting a photo of them together at a fancy event. The picture showed them sitting at a beautifully decorated table.
