On Tuesday, the 39-year-old real estate professional posted a striking photograph on Instagram showing charred houses in Malibu near the Pacific Coast Highway, accompanied by the caption: “Successfully Sold!
The bleak image presented an overhead perspective of the devastated buildings lining the seashore. It seemed as though they had been entirely consumed by fire, leaving behind little more than the bare structures of their walls and rooftops.
remnants of burnt rubble, wreckage, and charred ashes were evident following the January blazes that tragically claimed 31 lives, reduced houses to ruins, forced thousands to flee, and blackened over 40,000 acres in Los Angeles and surrounding communities.
Flag announced that one property was sold for $5 million and another for $4.65 million. He also posted the related photo on his Instagram Stories.
The individual found himself under heavy criticism from fans due to a perceived insensitive and poorly timed social media post, with someone expressing their dismay by saying, “This is appalling. Oh dear god… People have died; pets are missing. It’s inhumane to post this at such a sensitive time…

Another fan commented that it’s unnecessary for us to view homes, which were once damaged and then sold to corporations and the extremely wealthy, causing them to become too expensive for ordinary people.

For several weeks, the fires in Los Angeles raged on relentlessly as firefighters tirelessly battled to extinguish them. They scorched vast swathes of land in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Pasadena, and Altadena.
The estimated financial damage caused by the fires amounts to approximately $250 billion, taking into account expenses for future clean-ups, displacement of homes, and temporary closure of businesses.
A significant number of famous personalities from Hollywood saw their homes destroyed when the wealthy areas they lived in were turned into ashes and debris.
Among the homes that suffered destruction included those belonging to Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, John Goodman, Candy Spelling, Milo Ventimiglia, and Miles Teller.
In January, Flagg came to the defense of several celebrities who received heavy criticism for their contentious social media posts regarding the wildfires. As a steadfast believer, I’d express that everyone is on an equal footing. Regardless of our differences, we all face challenges in life.
People can indeed become well-known or renowned without having substantial wealth in their bank accounts.
Many well-known individuals aren’t necessarily wealthy. Instead, they are simply recognized personalities.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like this: “If you’re fortunate enough to own a second home, it certainly adds an element of ease and comfort to your life compared to those who only have one.
While many celebrities may not be wealthy, they too can lose their homes, just like anyone else. I assure you, the pain of such loss is equally distressing for someone with billions as it is for someone with only hundreds, regardless of their wealth.
He stated, “Everyone has the right to feel as they do. It’s true that some may be affected more severely, but it’s unnecessary to diminish the importance of celebrities or wealthy individuals.

During that period, Flag decided to relocate from Los Angeles to work remotely from his residence in New York City, primarily dedicating his efforts towards finding suitable accommodations for the affected individuals.
Currently, he is working on helping those who have lost their homes find new places to live, whether they are leasing or purchasing a new property due to financial means. This includes some of his clients who can afford to buy a house and opt for this instead of renting.
