Millie Mackintosh Unveils Renovation Progress with Fun Pics and Heartfelt Reflections
On a recent Friday, Millie Mackintosh posted an update on her home, showcasing some lively photographs, marking the first anniversary of her extensive renovation work.
Currently, the ex-star from Made In Chelsea, aged 35, along with her husband Hugo Taylor, who’s also 38, are renovating their house in London.
In the Instagram photos, she was seen perched on a ladder, clad in a fashionable denim jacket adorned with tassels and flared jeans.
The couple’s daughters, aged four (Sienna) and two (Aurelia), were also involved in picking out colors from the selection of paint samples.
Millie titled her post: “Amazing to realize a year has passed since we began our renovation… it’s easy to lose sight of progress amidst daily tasks, but taking a moment to look back shows just how much ground we’ve covered.
Reflecting on those bygone times—the scheming, the vision boards, the inescapable clouds of dust (oh, the dust!), the countless debates and every exhilarating peak and valley that accompanied such an undertaking—it’s almost as if those moments were another lifetime entirely.

She went on saying: ‘It required effort, persistence, sleepless nights, and much perseverance… yet, looking at it now, I can’t help but feel incredibly proud of all the dedication we invested in it.’
The most delightful aspect is that we’ve reached a point where it’s all about the small touches. Decorating the space with artwork, books, and trinkets collected along the way, which ultimately gives a house that cozy, homely feeling.
There’s a lot more on my list to accomplish, yet it’s quite unique to take a moment, reflect, and fully appreciate everything that has transpired.
Elsewhere, Mille recently revealed her daughter Aurelia accidentally fractured her nose.
The television host posted numerous photos on Instagram, showing the shocking extent of an injury that required surgical treatment.
She recently explained her absence from social media and the cause behind it: ‘If you haven’t heard much from me lately, it’s because…Three weeks back, Aurelia unintentionally broke my nose!’
In the moment I had hold of her, she arched her head backwards, causing the back of her skull to collide with my nose. I experienced an audible crack and subsequently sought medical attention, which led to a surgical procedure last week to mend the nasal fracture.
Have other parents experienced something similar? It’s a real parenting challenge, yet somehow it’s hard not to chuckle about it.

Later on, Millie talked about the ups and downs of being a parent during her daughters’ challenging times, all the while mentioning she had a recent bout with panic.
She continued: ‘Sienna is nearly five and has been having huge meltdowns and violent tantrums.
At our residence, we’ve been establishing fresh limits and aiding her in adapting, and it appears to be proving beneficial. I came to understand that I needed to be more assertive; she perceived herself as having ultimate control, which was not a balanced situation for us.
This past week, I experienced a panic attack – something I hadn’t felt in months. It was intense; I felt as if I might faint, and the sensation came over me in recurring waves for approximately three hours.
Unlike before, this time I recognized what was happening. I gave myself a gentle pep talk, took deep breaths to endure the unease, and applied ice to the back of my neck – which truly eased the pain.
About a year back, an event like this could have spoiled my entire day, perhaps even my whole week. It’s clear now how much progress I’ve made.

Recently, she expressed concerns about her social media presence: ‘Am I being seen? Does it measure up? I’ve been grappling with comparisons and self-doubts. I welcome your thoughts – what would you like to see more of on my profile?’
And Aurelia finds herself in quite a challenging period. Nothing seems right – her clothes feel scratchy, the bath water is overly frothy, the pasta isn’t holding its shape properly, and her smoothie lacks sufficient pink hue… You can imagine what she’s going through.
Most evenings, I wind up in her bed, helping her drift off to sleep and dozing off myself. The hugs are wonderful, but I long for uninterrupted slumber!
Millie posted a photo showing her bandaged nose, along with another picture taken during her surgery at the hospital.
