Millie Mackintosh recently hinted that she’s moved on from some friendships, shortly after it was reported she ended her professional and personal relationship with a longtime manager who also happens to be the godmother of her children.
Millie Mackintosh, 36, is opening up to her fans on Instagram as she begins a ‘new chapter’ in her life. The former star of Made In Chelsea, who shares two daughters – Sienna, five, and Aurelia, four – with her husband Hugo Taylor, 39, says she’s ready to share what’s really been going on.
Millie posted several videos from her vacation, showing her running, with her kids, and getting pampered. Alongside these, she reflected on how she’s evolved as a friend – learning to be okay with not always responding immediately to texts and feeling comfortable declining invitations when she needs to.
You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about how friendships change, especially after big life shifts. It’s funny, I used to feel like the ‘perfect’ friend – always there, always responsive. Then motherhood happened, and honestly, I had to adjust. I wasn’t able to respond instantly to everything, and I realized some people seemed to score our friendship lower because of it. It was a weird wake-up call. I started to realize that needing everyone’s approval was actually dragging me down, and as I let that go, it felt… freeing. It’s like, the less I cared about being liked, the more authentic I could be, and the friendships that truly mattered stuck around.
My stress levels dropped to a 6 out of 10 when I began declining social invitations, further improving to a 5 when I stopped drinking alcohol, and continued to decrease to a 4 when I found it hard to stay engaged in group conversations.
I felt a small sense of relief when I began to prioritize my own needs, but that quickly faded as I realized how depleted I’d become. Finally, it hit me that we had grown apart and were no longer the people we once were.

She explained, ‘Honestly, when people say I was a ’10 out of 10,’ that was a past version of me. I’m now a ’10’ in a different phase of my life.’
The reality star shared a message with a post saying that everyone is perfect just as they are, and it’s natural to change and grow as time goes on. It’s okay to leave old versions of yourself behind.
The news that Millie is ending both her working and personal relationship with Donna Rooney has surprised their friends, who always believed they had a very strong connection.
Sources say the actress was eager to move past her reality TV background, believing it was hindering her career and making it difficult to get more serious acting roles.
Donna, a close friend of over ten years and a beloved figure in Millie’s daughters’ lives – she’s even their godmother – is understandably very upset about the split.
Reports suggest Millie has unfollowed Donna on Instagram, and people close to them believe the relationship is over, following what Millie’s representative described as a serious breach of trust.
Millie is now represented by YMU, a top agency that also works with well-known personalities like Ant and Dec, Simon Cowell, Davina McCall, and Claudia Winkleman. They officially added her to their client list this month.
She’s hoping this career change will lead to TV work, increase her public profile, and help people see her as more than just a reality TV personality.

According to a source speaking to the Daily Mail, Millie is frustrated with constantly being referred to as a former cast member of ‘Made In Chelsea.’ No matter what new projects she tries, that label keeps following her, and she’s tired of it.
The show launched her career, but she hasn’t been on it for more than ten years, and now it feels like a distant past.
It absolutely broke my heart, but she finally realized she had to let Donna go. It was such a tough call, but she knew it was the only way to truly move on. Honestly, it felt like losing a part of her, but I understood she needed to do it for herself.
Donna and Millie have been close friends for more than ten years. Donna is a godmother to Millie’s children, and they’ve shared many holidays and created countless memories together.
‘Donna treats Millie’s children as if they were her own and would spoil them whenever she could.
Millie prioritized her career, and saw the change as a positive step forward. Understandably, Donna was deeply hurt by what she perceived as a betrayal – she truly believed they worked well together as a team.
The Daily Mail has contacted Millie’s representative and Donna for comment.
Last July, Donna posted a sweet birthday message to Millie on Instagram. It included a video of their favorite moments together, and she wrote about all the fun adventures and countless laughs they’ve shared – more than could ever fit in a short video.
Happy birthday to the incredible Millie Mackintosh! You’re a role model to so many, a supermom to your beautiful daughters, and always a joy to be around. We miss you and can’t wait to celebrate with you when you return! Sending you all our love.
Last May, she posted a birthday message for Millie’s eldest daughter, Sienna, on Instagram, affectionately calling her ‘the sweetest princess’.
Donna shared a heartwarming message about Millie’s youngest daughter, Aurelia, revealing that Aurelia calls her ‘auntie.’ She described Aurelia’s hugs as wonderfully comforting and said the little girl’s joyful laughter always brightened her week.
Donna, as Aurelia’s godmother, attended the christening with Millie and Charlie Boud, who founded the children’s food company Rumble Tums.

In April 2022, Donna shared a photo of herself and two other women, all wearing matching pink and white dresses. She captioned it, ‘We’re the G’s – the best godmother team ever!’ She also expressed how grateful she was to be sharing the special role with her friend, Charlie, calling them a perfect ‘partner in crime’.
Huge thanks to Millie Mackintosh, Hugo Taylor, and their adorable daughter Sienna for a truly wonderful day!
Donna’s Instagram shows how much she supports her daughter Millie’s career and cherishes her family. Recently, she signaled a new direction by officially joining the YMU talent agency.
Millie, a content creator, author, and wellness advocate, recently joined the agency, and a joint announcement celebrated the news. Millie shared her excitement, and her husband, Hugo, congratulated her.
Shortly after the news was released, Millie posted a mysterious message on Instagram. It said, ‘Plot twist: the ending you feared is the beginning you needed.’
The situation is becoming more puzzling. Georgina, Millie’s mother, is still actively following Donna and recently viewed her online profile, but Millie herself has stopped interacting with Donna completely.
