Okay, so I was scrolling through Millie Mackintosh‘s Instagram and she posted these amazing bikini pics from 2016! It got me thinking… 2016 was a rough year for her, wasn’t it? Like, the year she and Professor Green split up after everything went wrong in their marriage. It’s a bit weird seeing her just casually share these happy beach photos, completely skipping over all that drama, you know? I mean, it was a really public, messy divorce, but she’s acting like it never happened! I’m obsessed with keeping up with her life, and it just struck me as… odd.
Former Made In Chelsea star, age 35, and rapper Stephen Manderson, 42, have recently started talking again after nearly a decade of no contact. This follows their two-year marriage and nine years of silence.
Even so, Millie chose not to include a photo of Green in her 2016 year-in-review. Instead, she featured a picture of her now-husband, Hugo Taylor, whom she’d had an on-again, off-again relationship with since 2011.
Millie and Green officially divorced in May 2016, and that same week, Millie announced her relationship with Hugo.
The reality TV personality married her “Made in Chelsea” co-star, Hugo, in 2018, following her divorce two years prior. They now have two daughters.
Millie reflected on how much life can change in a decade, sharing nostalgic photos from past holidays, Glastonbury festivals, and magazine shoots.

As she looked through the photos, she wrote: ‘People are saying 2026 will be like 2016! It’s amazing how much can happen in just ten years.’
Here are a few recent highlights: a photoshoot I enjoyed doing for Women’s Health UK (and I’m missing those abs!), a trip to beautiful Mauritius, and another fun shoot for InStyle magazine.
Here are some highlights from my travels! Slide four shows Coldplay performing at Glastonbury – an unforgettable year. Slide five is a picture with my best friend, Florinda Carey, taken in the south of France. And slide six captures a fun party in Dubai with Clarissa.
Okay, so the latest from my Instagram… Slide seven was a total throwback to the Victoria’s Secret show in Paris – seriously, amazing! Then, slide eight had me questioning my current hairstyle, wondering if I should go back to how it was – thanks, Cosmopolitan UK, for the inspiration! And finally, slide nine gives a little peek behind the scenes – I’m super busy working on designing my own clothing line, which is a dream come true.
Looking back at some great memories! Slide ten reminds me of making friends on a beautiful Cape Town beach. And then, slide eleven… wow, that was me back when I could knock out chin-ups without any help – thanks to the amazing training with Women’s Health UK and the fantastic photos by Jon Gorrigan!
On slide twelve, I’m pictured with the wonderful @joshsmithhosts during an interview. Slide thirteen shows me having a great time as a guest on Britain’s Next Top Model. Finally, slide fourteen captures me attempting the ‘Blue Steel’ pose at the Zoolander 2 premiere.
Last October, reports surfaced that Millie and Green have a much better relationship now than they have in ten years. This improvement comes after they resolved the issues from their difficult split and divorce.
According to friends, the British rapper and his former wife have put any hard feelings behind them and are now focused on maintaining a friendly relationship.

According to a source, Stephen and Millie were deeply in love, but they both realized it wasn’t the right moment for a relationship.
Millie and Stephen have both started new chapters in their lives. Millie seems to have found happiness with her two daughters, while Stephen’s relationship is facing some challenges.
Okay, so here’s the HUGE news – they’re talking again! After ten years of… well, everything, they’re actually on good terms! I can’t even tell you how excited I am about this. It’s like a dream come true, honestly. They seem genuinely happy to be speaking, and it’s just… amazing. I’ve been waiting for this for so long!
Becoming parents has been a major influence on both of them, and they’ve both matured considerably. They’ve also stopped drinking, something that caused problems during their relationship.
Millie and her husband Hugo are parents to two daughters, five-year-old Siena and three-year-old Aurelia. Meanwhile, Green shares a four-year-old son, Slimane, with his partner, actress Karima Adebibe.
The rapper recently reconnected with his ex-wife, as he shared during a conversation with her friend and former co-star Jamie Laing on his podcast, Great Company.
Green shared that he and Millie developed a strong connection based on realizing they both had ADHD that hadn’t been identified before. They bonded over understanding each other’s experiences with it.
He realized that both he and the other person were likely neurodivergent, but hadn’t been diagnosed. They recently discussed this, and it explained a lot.
I used to feel really self-conscious about these things for a long time, but now I’m comfortable with them.
He explained that the pressure they were under might have actually prevented their marriage. He said it was a very close call, and they almost didn’t tie the knot.

I recall talking with my close friends, Lewis and Phoenix, and questioning whether I was becoming hesitant. I asked them what they thought was happening. One agreed that I was, while the other didn’t. I don’t want to involve the one who disagreed, as it’s not their place to worry about it.
I chose what was right for me, and we both agreed on it. We decided not to get married, but it wasn’t because of any bad feelings – we genuinely cared for each other.
It likely involved a dynamic where unhealthy connection formed through shared hardship. It’s difficult to admit, but it takes real self-awareness to acknowledge your own role – realizing you contributed significantly, perhaps even equally, to a situation that ultimately failed.
‘But hopefully we can both go forward and find happiness and belonging.’
He also called his ex-wife ‘beautiful’ as he added: ‘There’s no resentment in me. She is gorgeous.
‘We were not good for each other at that time.’
Following Green’s admissions, Millie shared a pointed remark on her Instagram platform.
On Wednesday, she shared a quote stating: ‘There’s nothing more valuable than our time…’
‘And it’s who we spend it on.’
They officially divorced in May 2016, and around the same time, Millie started publicly dating Hugo.

After their split, Green seemed to reference his former wife in the lyrics of his 2016 song, ‘Eye On The Door’.
The rapper jokingly complains that things didn’t progress romantically with Mackintosh, implying they mostly just spent time watching TV shows together.
Green claims she often made her husband leave their home in southeast London, and he could only return if he brought a valuable gift.
He raps about his relationship, saying he and his wife are happy until he makes a mistake, which then leads to conflict. He also acknowledges people are curious about what his life is like.
When we’re alone, my wife and I usually just relax – we might watch a couple episodes of a TV series before going to sleep. But if she overhears me rapping, she gets really mad and throws me out! I always have to win her back with a new Chanel bag.
In the second part of the song, Pro Green’s character struggles with guilt. He’s worried about getting divorced, but he’s also ignoring his wife’s emotions as he goes out and has fun with his friends.
In his lyrics, he reflects on his drug use, saying it quickly escalated: ‘It started with just one, then suddenly it was six.’ He expresses a sense of lost time and regret, admitting, ‘I feel like I’m gone – I don’t know where the time went.’
I can’t find my phone! I have sixty-one missed calls, and things are getting so bad with my partner that we might get divorced if I don’t start taking things seriously and make an effort. I know I’m pushing it.
Well, I’m certainly not having a good time! I really need to hurry up and get a car, especially if I’m already in trouble.
Honestly, at this point, I’m just numb. Another hit, another drink, another line… it all feels the same. I’ve already accepted that when I get back, things are going to be really bad, so what does one more indulgence even matter?
Millie and Hugo got engaged in Mykonos, Greece, the next year and then married in Sussex in June 2018.
The couple welcomed daughter Sienna in 2020 and daughter Aurelia in 2021.
Millie shared on Brogan Garrit-Smith’s podcast, Getting There, that she experienced a difficult period following her divorce.
Looking back on our marriage, I realize Professor Green and I were both dealing with personal difficulties, and we probably hoped we could help each other through them. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
We were both dealing with personal difficulties, and being together only made them worse. It created a really unhealthy situation.
