Millie Bobby Brown’s long-awaited Netflix sequel gets first look as it confirms 2026 release

Millie Bobby Brown returns as Enola Holmes in the third movie of the series. Netflix has released a first glimpse of Brown and her co-star Louis Partridge in the upcoming film, set to be released later this year. According to Netflix, this new adventure takes the young detective to Malta, where she’ll be solving a brand new mystery.

The reason for her arrival remains a mystery, but once she gets there, Enola finds herself in a dangerous situation. While working on a new case and exploring her growing connection with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), an exciting adventure begins, according to those involved.

The first glimpse of a new photo suggests Enola might be getting a marriage proposal, as Tewkesbury is shown kneeling and offering her a flower.

We can’t predict what will happen with the couple, but Brown has assured fans that there will be more romantic moments to come.

I’m super hyped for Enola Holmes 3! Millie Bobby Brown actually told Collider that this one is going to be really different from the other movies, and I can’t wait to see what she means. No official release date yet, but I’m already counting down the days!

“You asked for romance, so we’ll give you romance,” added the Stranger Things actor.

This mystery-drama series is based on Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries books. Jack Thorne, who previously wrote Toxic Town and Adolescence, adapted the story for television, and Philip Barantini (known for Boiling Point and Adolescence) directed it.

Himesh Patel and Henry Cavill will return as Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes in the next installment. Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster are also back as Eudoria Holmes and Moriarty, respectively.

The Enola Holmes films have been a big win for Netflix, earning both positive reviews and a large audience. Both Enola Holmes (2020) and Enola Holmes 2 (2022) have received excellent scores on Rotten Tomatoes – 91% and 93% respectively.

Who knows, maybe Enola Holmes 3 will go on to top it?

Netflix hasn’t announced when the third Enola Holmes movie will be released, but the first two films, Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2, are currently available to watch on the streaming service.
