Millie Bobby Brown, 21, shares look at baby she adopted with husband Jake Bongiovi, 23, for first time

For the first time, Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have revealed a glimpse of their newly adopted baby.

On Labor Day in the U.S., the actress posted a series of photographs on her Instagram account.

Inside the carousel, there lay a solitary picture showing Bongiovi holding their baby girl in a carrier. This snapshot was taken as they were making their way onto a private plane, standing on the runway.

The baby’s face cannot be seen, only her form under blankets. 

21-year-old actress from Stranger Things, who got married to Jonah Bongiovi (also 23) last year, shocked her followers with an unexpected announcement on August 21st through a social media post, revealing that she had adopted a child.

The post read: ‘This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.’

We can’t wait with great anticipation to start this new, tranquil phase of parenthood in a secluded setting.

‘And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.’

On July 20 she dropped a hint there was a baby in their life.

In a recent Instagram post, Bongiovi was captured walking with a stroller, as shared by Brown’s post. The caption read, “What a great summer so far.” However, it wasn’t entirely clear from the post what specific events or activities were taking place.

In May 2024, they tied the knot, and since then, discussions about expanding their family through birth or adoption, with aspirations for a large family, have been ongoing.

Earlier this year she said she wanted to be a mother. 

On the Smartless podcast, which is led by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, the actress expressed her eagerness for motherhood, despite acknowledging that she is quite young.

She shared that both her mother and father welcomed their first child when they were 21 and 19 respectively. It’s something that has been a part of her story even prior to meeting Jake.

Ever since I was an infant, my heart’s desire has been to emulate the nurturing role that both my mother and grandmother played in my life. My grandma, in particular, had a significant influence on me.

Millie emphasized that Jake understands the significance of her aspirations, and she is determined to build a strong acting and producing career. However, she also stressed the personal importance of starting a family for herself.

‘It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.’

Brown then added: ‘And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family.

Among the four of us, he and I share a commonality: we are all part of a group of four. Consequently, it seems inevitable that significant life events like parenthood will occur among us. However, personally speaking, for me, the idea of having a biological child and adopting aren’t fundamentally distinct in my mind.

She added, “‘Our home radiates warmth and acceptance for all. That’s our motto, shared between Jake and me. Our residence is an inviting space where everyone feels at ease.’

Her remarks followed closely on the heels of her discussing her partnership with Bongiovi, as well as their agreement on significant issues, in an interview with Vanity Fair in February.

She shared with the press that we discussed our political beliefs, our aspirations for our family, preferred type of residence, ideal romantic partnership, and career goals.

Making this decision was crucial, and we took great care to ensure that it was the best choice. I had no doubt about it being the right choice. The feeling of it being just right was always there when it came to him.

2021 marked the beginning of a romantic relationship between Brown and Bongiovi, who are the children of renowned musician Jon Bon Jovi. They made their engagement official in April 2023.

In May 2024, the couple exchanged wedding vows in an extravagant Italian ceremony, specifically at Villa Cetinale located in the beautiful region of Tuscany. They declared their love for each other by saying “I do”.
