Miley Cyrus reminisced about a challenging period, during which she and her former spouse, Liam Hemsworth, tragically lost their $2.525M four-bedroom Malibu home in the 2018 Woolsey Fire, just a month before they tied the knot.
The 32-year-old pop star surprisingly stated, during the Q&A at her Something Beautiful event on Tuesday, that when her house was destroyed by fire, it turned out to be the greatest blessing she’s experienced in her life.
Reflecting on the possibility of starting anew, having the power to selectively gather items that align with a chosen purpose, and considering the individuals who significantly impact my life.
Additionally, when my home was lost in the fire, many of my relationships were affected too. This experience, surprisingly, has led me to discover an extraordinary sense of magic and deep appreciation.
In fact, Miley (originally named Destiny), who had a past relationship with a 35-year-old Australian man from 2013 to 2016, ended up divorcing him only eight months later in the year 2020.
Cyrus expressed that if he could speak to his past self, he would advise himself to value the tougher periods, as they are guiding him towards brighter days.
In 2005, the three-time Grammy Award winner tracked down her debut album at the Rainbowland recording studio, nestled within a sprawling two-acre property.
In 2023, Miley shared that she experienced panic attacks upon remembering, as she was filming for Netflix’s Black Mirror in South Africa, she learned that her house had been demolished back home.
In essence, Cyrus shared on TikTok that he found himself lying on a stretcher, tied down, while his hands were cuffed to a hospital bed as his house was on fire around him.
The day after that, the artist behind “More to Lose” found herself shooting the music video for her character Ashley O, which was full of dance sequences. She nonchalantly commented, “The show should keep moving!
2021 saw Miley Cyrus starting a relationship with Maxx Morando, the Liily drummer and one of the eight producers credited on her forthcoming album.
On May 30, Cyrus will release his ninth studio album titled “Something Beautiful.” Following this, on June 6, the world premiere of the visual film adaptation will take place at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan during the Tribeca Film Festival.
The artist behind “The Beautiful That Way” song, who stopped touring in 2023, expressed enthusiastically: ‘This album is filled with my affection for it, and that love will resonate whether you’re aware of it or not. You’ll feel it when you listen through the speakers.’
Currently, Liam has been maintaining a steady relationship with Australian model Gabriella Brooks since the year 2019.
