She revealed that during her live “New Year’s Eve Party” broadcast three years ago, she experienced a “medical emergency.” Specifically, she suffered from an ovarian cyst rupture, as the multiple Grammy winner of the hit song “Flowers” disclosed.

In an extensive chat with Zane Lowe for his DJ and Apple Music show, I admitted that I wasn’t fully aware of what was transpiring, but it was incredibly distressing because it was unbearably painful. Yet, despite the discomfort, I chose to carry on with the performance.

Although common and usually harmless, larger cysts might result in symptoms such as pelvic pain, abdominal discomfort, and bloating, as explained by the Mayo Clinic. If a cyst becomes twisted or ruptures, it could lead to internal pelvic pain and bleeding.

Miley Cyrus, known for her role in “Hannah Montana,” shared insights about a polyp on her vocal cords, likening live performances to running a marathon with added weights. She also discussed her personal journey towards sobriety. Since her early years in the spotlight, she has been open about battling addiction. In an interview with Rolling Stone in December 2020, she spoke candidly about her drug and alcohol use, revealing that the premature deaths of artists like Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix due to substance abuse motivated her to straighten out her life before reaching the age of 27.

For Cyrus, achieving sobriety hasn’t always been an easy journey, but this week she expressed that “sobriety feels to me like my personal faith or higher power.

She expressed, “I can’t do without it; it’s the core of my existence. It has completely transformed my world.” Pausing, she admitted there was a time when she struggled and fell apart in recent years. “I was almost where I am today,” she said, “but life had more lessons to teach me.

In 2024, Cyrus claimed her first Grammy for “Flowers,” signaling the beginning of a fresh, dramatic, and stylish phase in her career. Her ninth studio album, titled “Something Beautiful,” is set to release on May 30, followed by a film premiere in June.
