Miley Cyrus’ Ice-Age Glam: Cover Reveal for ‘Something Beautiful’ Album

Miley Cyrus posted an audacious snapshot for her forthcoming album’s cover, titled Something Beautiful.

32-year-old The Flowers’ singer seemed encrusted with ice formations, but upon closer inspection, she was actually donning a 1997 vintage Thierry Mugler haute couture ensemble.

As a die-hard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as Miley Cyrus reveals the mesmerizing artwork for her long-awaited ninth studio album, Something Beautiful! Slated for release on May 30, 2025, through Columbia Records, this masterpiece is set to captivate us all.

The record includes 13 unique songs, and it’s co-produced by Miley Cyrus and Shawn Everett, as stated in the caption.

The caption also noted that the photo was taken by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford.

Cyrus has been teasing Something Beautiful over the past week across her social media platforms.

The latest album of Miley, titled “Endless Summer Vacation,” hit shelves in March 2023, featuring the mega-popular single “Flowers.

Flowers spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke numerous streaming records.

Last year, flowers were awarded the Grammys for both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, and they were also nominated in the categories of Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Despite Flowers’ previous success, both Flowers and Cyrus are currently embroiled in a legal dispute initiated by Tempo Music Investments, a shareholder of the 2013 hit single “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars.

In simpler terms, Tempo has sued Miley for copyright infringement, claiming that her new single deliberately imitated a song by Mars.

As a die-hard fanatic, I find myself engrossed in the heart of this legal battle that revolves around the profound lyrics within this chorus: ‘I can treat myself to blossoms, carve my name on the shoreline, engage in soliloquies for hours, utter words you may not comprehend, lead myself to a dance, and even embrace my own hand. Yes, I’m capable of loving myself better than anyone else could.’

It seems that Miley’s lyrics are structured similarly to Mars’ chorus, expressing regret over missed opportunities and a desire to share joyful moments together: ‘If I had known, I would have bought you flowers, held your hand, given you all my time when the chance arose. I would have taken you to every party because that was all you wanted – to dance.’

As a die-hard Miley Cyrus fan, I couldn’t help but jump for joy when I heard the news in November! Her legal team stepped up and boldly filed to dismiss the case, claiming that the person bringing the suit doesn’t actually own the exclusive rights to the song at the heart of the dispute. It’s moments like these that remind me just how much Miley stands up for what she believes is right – music belongs to everyone who loves it!

Despite a judge ruling against this point, it appears there was a crucial mix-up over the definition of ‘exclusive rights,’ as revealed in documents acquired by The Mirror US.

In simpler terms, the decision made clear that having exclusive rights doesn’t mean you own those rights exclusively.

The term “exclusive rights” refers to the joint ownership held by all the parties involved. With its purchase of co-songwriter Philip Lawrence’s catalog, Tempo gained a share in this collective ownership.

In this case, Tempo along with Gregory Hein and Michael Pollack will move forward as the parties bringing the legal action.

Bruno Mars is also a credited writer on the song but he is not involved in the litigation.

Elsewhere in Flower-themed updates, it’s announced that the house in the Los Angeles region where Miley Cyrus filmed her Flowers music video has recently changed hands.

In early 2023, I unveiled my chart-topping single against the picturesque setting of a six-bathroom, four-bedroom mansion nestled within the San Fernando Valley. While the lyrics are open to interpretation, many believe they echo my past relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

In the video, Miley is seen changing into a black lingerie outfit before taking a dip in the pool, engaging in workout routines at home, and featuring in an intense shower sequence.

From 1960 to 1964, as reported by TMZ, the property was rented by popular singer Frank Sinatra. However, some other sources suggest that he might have leased it for a period of ten years instead.

Spanning over 6,661 expansive square feet, it generates approximately $1.2 million for its owners by leasing it for filming purposes in the entertainment industry (Hollywood).

The once lavish residence, known previously as Sinatra’s Pad, has been rechristened as Byrdview and has experienced a massive facelift from its glory days in the 1960s.

The item can be seen on the popular AMC series Mad Men and in music videos featuring high-profile artists like Mariah Carey, Usher, and Rihanna.

From my vantage point atop this lofty manor, I gaze out across a breathtaking panorama that sweeps 360 degrees over the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, the majestic mountains, and the pristine, expansive 3,000-acre nature preserve that surrounds it.
