On Tuesday, Trace Cyrus took aim at his father Billy Ray Cyrus in a strongly worded Instagram post, calling him “evil” and “delusional.

36-year-old musician posted a picture featuring the 63-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, and further claimed that his father failed to attend the funeral of his grandmother, despite having traveled to Italy together with Elizabeth Hurley.

As he concluded his response, the media figure expressed his intention to carry on prospering, and added that the Cyrus surname would be passed down through him and the numerous children he intends to have, making it a lasting part of our family line.

Trace expressed that he would ensure they grow up properly and remain an integral part of their lives, regardless of any challenges or changes in circumstances.

Billy has been married three times and is father to six children – including Trace. 

He has three children, Miley (age 32), Noah (age 25), and Braison (age 31), with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus. When they married in 1993, he also took on the role of stepfather to Trace and Brandi, who are from Tish’s earlier relationship.

Besides Christopher, Cyrus is additionally a father to a 33-year-old son, who was born during his relationship with Kristen Luckey.

After a disastrous performance at the Liberty Ball during Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, guitarist Billy found himself entangled in a series of dramatic events as he pleaded with his father to seek assistance, following the incident.

Speaking from my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, I find myself saying, “Regrettably, the person I once admired and yearned to emulate so deeply is almost unrecognizable to me now. It appears that life has taken its toll on you, and it seems evident to everyone but yourself.

You might feel upset with me because of what I posted, but at this point, it doesn’t bother me much. For years, my sisters and I have been genuinely concerned about you, but you’ve pushed us all away.”

He also mentioned that his sister Miley Cyrus is one of the people he’s referring to in “the girls.

Noah deeply desired for you to become a part of her life, yet you’ve not managed to be present during her times of need.

‘That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though.’

In the month of February last year, it was reported by People that Noah has kept a close relationship with his father, following their divorce from Tish after three decades of marriage.

In his communication, Trace additionally expressed, ‘We cling to recollections of the man we used to know and long for the moment he comes back. People are becoming increasingly concerned about your health, Father.’

‘In the same way that I attended your grandma’s funeral unexpectedly, I’m present with you today as well.’

The musician added, ‘I want you to understand that this sentiment originates from both affection and worry about losing you prematurely. You are deeply loved, Dad.’

A short while after, Trace asserted that his father had warned him about taking legal steps, following his emotional public appeal.

Even though Trace has been posting recently this year, it seems that Billy is maintaining a positive relationship with all his kids, including Miley.

Last May, she met up again with her long-separated father, ignoring the whispers about ‘personal issues’ to take a heartwarming picture together and share it on Instagram.

She went with Billy to celebrate her brother Braison’s 31st birthday, and she beamed as she embraced her partner Maxx Morando, who was present in the cheerful photograph too.

Standing beside the once-radiant Disney Channel star, there I was, flanked by her dear father and her equally charming brother, Braison. We all halted for an instant, striking a pose amidst nature’s grandeur, as the camera clicked away in this memorable moment.

The songstress released her ninth studio album titled Something Beautiful on May 30. 

In April, it was also made public that Billy Ray was in a budding romance with Elizabeth Hurley. Additionally, a different source reported to New Idea that Miley Cyrus wasn’t aware of their relationship when it became known.

On the other hand, it appeared as though there was no strain between the pair, as they clearly enjoyed their high-quality time together.

According to another source, TMZ reports that Miley and Billy share a positive connection and have been spending time together more recently.

Back in January, Braison publicly addressed the family turmoil, telling People magazine, “I harbor no ill will towards any member of my family.

It’s been said that Billy had strained relations with his daughter Noah, but in March, he posted a heartfelt tribute to both Miley and Noah, who is 25 years old.

On Tuesday, Miley opened up on Monica Lewinsky’s “Reclaiming” podcast about dealing with complex family issues, without relying on therapy for resolution.

The Grammy winner remarked, “Our disarray was such that we didn’t accomplish a single thing on the agenda.” Then, they went on to discuss experiencing a challenging and difficult period spanning a decade.

She once shared that merely arranging for everyone to sit down for counseling sessions would have been like waging a war. At some point, she mentioned, more than half of her family members had stopped communicating with one another.
