During a chat with “Access Hollywood”, the legendary country musician learned unexpected news regarding her cookbook collaboration with her sister, titled “Good Lookin’ Cookin'”. The book is designed to offer a year’s worth of meals.

According to Access Hollywood, it’s been uncovered that Cyrus and Parton share a common ancestor named John Brickey, who resided in Blount County, Tennessee, which isn’t too far from the location of Dollywood as we know it today.

Parton expressed that she wasn’t taken aback since Cyrus had always seemed like part of the family to her, just as many others did.

“I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of that,” Parton said.

Cyrus frequently expresses gratitude towards her godmother. In an interview with W magazine in June, she said, “Dolly has been more like a mother to me.” She also mentioned that Dolly Parton had sent her a fax on Mother’s Day, which is fitting given that she is 78 years old.

Cyrus, who doesn’t have a fax machine handy, said she has to pick up faxes at her lawyer’s office.

Dolly’s message conveyed: “Just how deeply I cherish you? That’s as vast as the capacity of my heart and as expansive as the stretch of my arms.

What touched Cyrus deeply was having a godmother with such a large heart, as it would move anyone fortunate enough to have one like hers.
