As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia upon hearing about The Legend of Baboo. The art style, reminiscent of Rime and The Last Guardian, immediately caught my eye, transporting me back to the days when I roamed the mystical landscapes of Shadow of the Colossus on my trusty PlayStation 2.
Publisher Midwest Games has announced a new action-adventure game, called The Legend of Baboo.
In my perspective, it revolves around a lad and his enchanted canine companion, darting through landscapes reminiscent of ancient Greece and essentially living an exhilarating life filled with adventures.
The canine appears quite sizable, with a plush, somewhat naive demeanor (in a charming sense), and it seems as if he’s constantly scampering about quite vigorously.
This game boasts a variety of settings, ranging from dense jungles to frozen tundra, and evokes memories of Rime and The Last Guardian. Such reminders are usually well-received.
The description reads:
Experience two legendary figures: Sepher and his faithful canine companion, Baboo. Embark on an adventure as you switch between these characters in this captivating, third-person action-adventure game set in enchanting realms. Joined by destiny, the pair ventures forth to save their loved ones from an age-old, sinister force.
There is no fixed release date for The Legend of Baboo, but it’s scheduled for 2025 on Xbox and PC.
