Mickey Rourke Fury at ‘Woke Culture’

In simpler terms, Keith Mason, a close acquaintance of Mickey Rourke, criticized the current cultural shift towards inclusivity and social awareness (often referred to as ‘woke culture’) for leading to Rourke’s dismissal from Celebrity Big Brother, in a strongly worded statement on Sunday.

72-year-old Mickey was evicted from the ITV residence on Saturday following a disagreement with Chris Hughes from Love Island, who is said to have given him a disapproving glance during an activity.

Currently, Keith, a friend of the popular Hollywood star, is using social networks to point fingers at the “culture-conscious cancel mob” for allegedly causing his eviction from a residence.

Yet, former rugby league player Keith confessed that he hasn’t caught a single episode of the ITV series since it debuted last week.

He penned: ‘I hear my old mate Mickey Rourke has left the big brother house.

It seems unclear to me because I haven’t seen it, but it appears that one needs to be careful with their words, as there’s a possibility of facing backlash from the “cancel culture” if they don’t adhere to the current societal norms for acceptable speech.

‘But I guess that’s what you get for living in the Real world.’

Alongside the post Keith shared a picture of himself and Mickey partying together.

One fan countered the post by saying: ‘It’s not being progressive to point out obvious bigotry and the implied violence of conversion therapy.’

Keith wondered aloud, “What did he specifically say?” which led the fan to repost a video clip featuring the actor from the program.

Keith added: ‘I’m Mickey’s friend and he’s the least homophobic person you’ll meet Danny.’

From the start of the series, it’s been challenging to handle Mickey, a former boxer, due to his inappropriate gaze towards host AJ Odudu upon entering the house.

The situation quickly became tense when Mickey started making disrespectful remarks about JoJo Siwa and others, including Donna Preston, Ella Rae Wise, and Patsy Palmer, through inappropriate discussions.

On Saturday, he was asked to depart because of his threatening and hostile actions towards Chris during an upcoming task, which served as the decisive factor for the producers.

After Chris gave him a disapproving glance during the pirate-themed task, the heated response occurred later on, according to The Sun’s report.

Later on, Mickey pursued the star, and the events spiraled out of control. According to a source, the publication was informed that Mickey felt Chris was showing disrespect through side glances and responded with a flurry of trash-talking.

In this instance, the behavior was hostile, menacing, and assertive, but it didn’t escalate to a physical confrontation. Neither security nor producers felt compelled to interfere.

Mickey was summoned to a private conversation in the diary room, where they talked about his persistent misconduct. In this discussion, he consented to depart.

Mickey Rourke decided to depart from the Celebrity Big Brother House tonight, after having a talk with Big Brother about continued usage of offensive language and actions deemed inappropriate.

In the meantime, there are whispers suggesting that Mickey might not get his complete £500,000 payment following his dismissal from the show, as reported by a source to The Sun.

Viewers of the show have been pondering possible events following their watch of the live feed from the house.

A spectator suggested a possible scenario regarding X: ‘During the live broadcast, Danny Beard playfully assumed a fighting stance next to Chris. Although there was no sound, it seemed clear that he didn’t mean any harm. Perhaps he was making fun of Mickey?’

‘I can’t wait for tomorrows episode to find out what actually happened.’

Regardless of being eliminated early, celebrities still receive their entire contracted pay upon leaving a show, just as Michael Fabricant did last Friday.

In other words, if they choose to leave the show on their own or get dismissed, they won’t be entitled to their substantial earnings.

TopMob has contacted ITV for comment.

Previously, The Express had reported that even though he earned £500,000 during his time in the house, he stands to forfeit almost half of it due to taxes.

Or simply:
The Express previously reported that despite earning £500,000, he will likely lose about half of it to taxes.

Despite working in the UK, US citizens must pay tax on earnings even if it’s earned abroad.

Consequently, the report stated that he might have to pay as much as £213,900 (approximately $276,000) in taxes upon his return to the United States.

In 2016, Christopher Biggins was dismissed from the program, with reports indicating that he received only half of his promised £100,000 fee. During the show, he made a joke involving Nazi references, which he subsequently apologized for.

At the given moment, it was stated that the production company wasn’t in violation of their contractual obligations because they didn’t pay the full promised fee.

Actor Mickey departed from his home following more instances of inappropriate speech and unsuitable conduct directed at Chris.

In the latest episode, the Love Island contestant aged 32 offered support to his fellow cast member JoJo, 21, following Mickey’s comments about her sexual orientation, stating he would promptly eliminate a lesbian from the show.

Earlier today, according to TopMob’s report from Saturday, fans of Celebrity Big Brother suspected that Mickey might be considering leaving the show due to a significant hint they noticed.

On Friday night, it was Michael, a former Conservative member of Parliament, who was the initial housemate to leave following the highest number of nominations from his fellow competitors.

Following the declaration of the outcome, the politician bid farewell and stepped away amidst a blend of jeers and applause, meeting up with hosts AJ Odudu (aged 37) and Will Best (aged 40).

Nevertheless, sharp-eyed onlookers caught sight of Mickey, aged 72, apparently trying to slip away discretely together with him.

Fans swiftly flocked to X (previously known as Twitter), expressing their theories that the Hollywood star is eager to depart due to their suspicious behavior.

Mickey is eager to depart, repeatedly expressing his desire to exit beforehand. When that individual was pushed out, he feigned leaving along with him.

Despite criticism from viewers who labeled Mickey as homophobic following his actions towards dancer JoJo, 21, many were upset when they saw him reduce her to tears by suggesting he could “make her straight” during their time in the house and using derogatory language towards her.

Mickey questioned Chris about whether each person needed to eliminate someone else from the house, as the Wrestler star admitted, “I plan to swiftly vote out the lesbian.

JoJo overheard as she hit back: ‘That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.’

In response to Mickey, Chris intervened saying, “You can’t treat JoJo like that,” but Mickey remained unfazed and replied, “I require help,” while indicating towards JoJo and stating, “I’m not addressing you.

Viewers demanded ‘vile’ Mickey be removed from the house after his comments towards JoJo.

However, following the incident where Mickey made offensive comments about JoJo, she has since earned the title of ‘the people’s princess’ from viewers due to her admirable handling of the difficult situation. This refers to the respect and adoration shown by viewers for her resilience in dealing with homophobic and misogynistic remarks directed at her.

They wrote: ‘Jojo Siwa is really great, isn’t she? A mature, smart, young woman,’;

Jojo showed nothing but kindness towards that man, even though she could have easily told him to be quiet.

Jojo is more patient than I am, as a situation like an elderly person brushing their teeth in the kitchen sink wouldn’t have been something I could handle calmly.

‘Oh i’ve seen enough jojo and chris final two,’; ‘Jojo is the people’s princess i fear,’;

Jojo managed the situation exceptionally well last night; JoJo has already proven herself as a strong contender for the competition, given her excellent handling of every challenge she faced.

Witnessing Mickey’s disrespectful behavior towards Jojo left me feeling deeply saddened. Her calm response, given the situation, was commendable, and I find myself cheering her on. I truly hope she stands up to him and makes him leave.

Who would have thought Jojo Siwa would be a winner? Not many, but it’s happening, and I, for one, am thrilled to see her shine!

During the episode on Friday, Mickey caused more controversy with a harsh remark that left Patsy Palmer, an actor from EastEnders, in tears.

The group of housemates had assembled near the kitchen table, savoring a meal cooked by the 52-year-old actress, when one of the actors expressed disapproval with her culinary skills.

He swiped: ‘What do you know, you can’t cook.’

At first, Patsy found it amusing, but later on, she went to the diary room to vent her feelings to Big Brother.

She apologized, then started crying,” she admitted. “I made an effort to handle the situation differently, yet it didn’t turn out as intended. I’m disappointed in myself for reacting that way. I wish I could have responded better.

It’s important to me that my children are self-assertive at all times, but perhaps I should consider if the situation might have been a jest instead.

‘I need to try to rise above it. It doesn’t mean I have to like him,’ she added.
