Mick Jagger’s youngest son Deveraux, 7, looks set to follow in his father’s musical footsteps as rocker’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick gushes he has an ‘amazing’ singing voice

Mick Jagger’s partner, Melanie Hamrick, shared that their son Deveraux possesses a remarkable singing ability.
Previously a ballerina and writer, now 37 years old, shared that their seven-year-old child might follow in the footsteps of the music world, similar to the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist, aged 81, who happens to be the child’s father.
However she admitted she would never want to be a pushy ‘stage parent’ with her child.
She shared with Hello! Magazine: “In his younger days, we’d play the Hokey Cokey every now and then, but now he’ll casually remark, ‘Mom, that’s not hip.’ It’s hard to believe he’s a teenager already! – she expresses her joy witnessing him blossom with his talents.
I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing his actions, but I also don’t want to burden him with excessive expectations, given the significant responsibility that lies between us two.
Whenever he sings at school performances, I find myself exclaiming, “Wow, his singing is incredible! Everyone should have heard it!” Then, I remind myself, “Melanie, allow him to enjoy childhood. Avoid acting as a pushy stage parent.
In the month of December 2016, Melanie welcomed their son, Deveraux ‘Devi’ Jagger, into the world. This was Melanie’s first child, while it was Mick’s eighth.
Sir Mick, in total, has eight children. Among them are Karis, who is 53 years old from Marsha Hunt; Jade, aged 52, born to Bianca Jagger; Lizzie, 40, James, 38, Georgia May, 32, and Gabriel, 26, all share the same mother, Jerry Hall; Lucas, 24 is his son with Luciana Gimenez Morad; and Deveraux is another child, although no information about the mother was provided.
It comes after she Melanie revealed what Mick really thinks about her very racy romance novels.
The writer has penned down her second romantic novel with a ballet theme, and she openly confessed that crafting sex scenes is the most straightforward aspect for her in storytelling.
Last year, Melanie unveiled her debut novel, “First Position,” which has been dubbed a ‘ballet erotic thriller.’ Now, I can hardly wait for the sequel she’s working on, titled “The Unraveling.” As an avid fan, I simply can’t get enough of her captivating stories set in the world of dance!
In an interview with The Times, she discussed her approach to depicting sensual scenes, employing words such as “thrusting,” “throbbing,” and “pulsating.” She explained, referring to the thesaurus, that these terms were frequently used in the second book – a sentiment echoed by Mick, who remarked, ‘Throbbing was used quite extensively in book two.’
Previously, the dancer-turned-choreographer noted that Mick had actually been the one to inspire her to begin writing books back then.
As a passionate devotee, I found myself expressing repeatedly, “I yearn to compose a book, a book of my own.” Eventually, there came a moment when he exclaimed, “Wow, just go ahead and write it!
She used to dance as a professional ballerina for the American Ballet Theatre, leaving the company in 2019 after a career spanning fifteen years.
She added of writing sex scenes: ‘It’s like choreographing a dance. It’s a movement and I’m writing movements down.’
During the interview, she candidly discussed the significant age difference between them, stating that she tends not to dwell on it and acknowledges that people may have varying opinions. As far as she’s concerned, as long as no one is getting hurt, it’s all good.
It comes after Melanie shared a sweet birthday tribute for his 81st birthday earlier this summer.
The former ballet dancer posted a slew of gorgeous family snaps to celebrate the singer’s special day, posing alongside their son.
‘Happy Birthday babe !! We love you ❤️,’ she captioned her latest Instagram post.
One shot captured the smitten couple posing for a mirror selfie as both sported elegant outfits, with Mick gently posing a hand on Melanie’s waist.
She was the epitome of class in a bejewelled black midi dress, while the rock legend sported a suit.
Afterward, there was a touching photo of Mick with his son, gripping hands, captured backstage before they stepped onto the stage.
In another photo, they were all smiles with Deveraux, who wore a black hat emblazoned with the logo of The Rolling Stones. (Or: They were grinning ear to ear in another picture alongside Deveraux, sporting a black cap bearing the Rolling Stones insignia.)
In February 2014, during their respective tours, they encountered each other for the first time at a Rolling Stones concert.
They didn’t get any closer until the singer invited Melanie at a later time, specifically for their rock band’s performance in Zurich.
Despite not being married, they’ve been blissfully together for a decade now, and in December 2016, they became proud parents to Deveraux.
