Michelle Yeoh, 62, Stuns in Tight Dress at ‘Star Trek: Section 31’ Premiere
At the Star Trek: Section 31 premiere held in New York City on Wednesday, Michelle Yeoh impressed everyone in her stunning leopard print beaded gown by Balenciaga for fall 2024.
At the event, the 62-year-old actress caught everyone’s attention in a fitted dress with a high collar and long sleeves, accentuating her slender figure.
In a stylish ensemble, the leading actress from Everything Everywhere All At Once sported a delicate bob hairstyle, featuring sharp bangs.
To complete her stylish ensemble, she added sharp-tipped black pumps and sported an impeccable makeup look featuring long, elegant eyelashes.
In the upcoming Paramount+ project set for release on January 24th, Yeoh will once again take on the character of Emperor Philippa Georgiou.
On Thursday, Michelle shared with CBS Mornings that she’s really excited for her comeback to the Star Trek series.
Reflecting on my experience with the show, I mentioned that it all began in the year 2016, marking the moment I became part of the Star Trek clan, during the creation of Discovery.
As Captain Philippa Georgiou, the beloved, compassionate, and resilient leader, I stepped into the spotlight alongside my trusted first officer, Sonequa Martin-Green.
Philippa initially commanded the USS Shenzhou, but tragically lost her life during combat. However, an alternate version of Philippa resurfaced later in the Mirror Universe, where she ruled as the merciless emperor of the Terran Empire.
Section 31,” helmed by director Olatunde Osunsanmi and scripted by Craig Sweeny, is set to premiere on Paramount+. This production marks the initial television movie within the Star Trek franchise.
Regarding her role, the Malaysian actress commented on her character, Philippa Georgiou, who met her end in episode two of the sci-fi drama. She described this character as an inventor and went on to say that she was not only deadly but also a diva walking among us.
On the Thursday broadcast, during an interview with host Gayle King, Yeoh expressed her reaction to her film “Wicked” receiving an impressive 10 Oscar nominations.
She was filled with excitement, and she squealed upon learning that her co-star, Ariana Grande, had been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Furthermore, Cynthia Erivo aims to win the award for Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role, given her performance as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.
Ariana received her initial Oscar nomination for playing Glinda the Kind Witch in the cherished musical, marking a new milestone in her career.
Each year, the prestigious competition for Best Picture will feature films like “Wicked”, “Dune: Part Two”, “Emilia Perez”, “Anora”, “The Brutalist”, “A Complete Unknown”, “Conclave”, “I’m Still Here”, and “The Nickel Boys” as well as “The Substance”.
In an unexpected turn of events, the foreign film “I’m Still Here” was nominated, while more popular movies like “Sing Sing” and “A Real Pain” were not considered for the race.
