Michelle Williams and husband Thomas Kail quietly welcomed newest baby via surrogate
Michelle Williams is now a mother of four.
Five-time Oscar nominee and her theater director husband Thomas Kail recently welcomed a new child through a surrogate over a month back, according to reports. A source has confirmed to People that the couple’s baby arrived six weeks ago, and they are beyond thrilled to be adding a new member to their family, expressing immense joy in expanding it.
The source additionally shared with the magazine that Matilda, Williams’ eldest daughter from her relationship with late “Brokeback Mountain” costar Heath Ledger, has been taking great care of her younger siblings.
A representative for Williams did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for confirmation.

‘Dying for Sex’ is this century’s kinky, horny ‘Love Story’
The limited series on Hulu produced by FX presents a platform for Michelle Williams’ exceptional talent, boasting an impressive ensemble including Jenny Slate, Rob Delaney, Sissy Spacek, and Esco Jouléy.
The secretive arrival of their latest family member shouldn’t catch anyone off guard, given that they tend to keep their personal life out of the public spotlight. Williams married the director of “Fosse/Verdon” quietly in March 2020, having first connected on the FX miniseries back in 2018.
In 2019, Phil Elverum of Mount Eerie divorced Kail. Later that year, Kail married someone else, whom we know as Williams. Shortly after their marriage, which took place privately, they had their first child, Hart, in June 2020. Their second child was born quietly in November 2022. Meanwhile, Kail and actor Angela Christian parted ways.
In a 2022 interview with Variety, Williams, who welcomed Matilda in 2005, three years prior to Ledger’s passing, expressed that having a wonderful child is what truly motivates one to strive for a better world.
