Michelle Pfeiffer teams up with Nicole Kidman in Apple TV+ show
As a fan who has grown up watching the captivating performances of Michelle Pfeiffer on the silver screen, I can hardly contain my excitement at the news of her latest projects! The actress, who has graced us with iconic roles in films such as “Scarface,” “The Fabulous Baker Boys,” and “Batman Returns,” is now set to star in not one but two highly anticipated series: the Apple TV+ drama “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” and the upcoming “Yellowstone” spin-off, “The Madison.
Michelle Pfeiffer has teamed up with Nicole Kidman for a new Apple TV+ drama series.
The narrative, titled similarly as Rufi Thorpe’s book, Margo’s Money Woes, revolves around a young lady who finds herself in financial distress following an unexpected turn of events from a short-lived romance with her English professor, resulting in an unintended pregnancy.
As reported by The Wrap, Elle Fanning is set to star as the main character, while Michelle Pfeiffer will portray her mother, named Shyanne.
Additionally, the series includes Meryl Streep in its cast, who will join forces with Thorpe, Fanning, and Pfeiffer to oversee production as executive producers. On the other hand, David E Kelley takes on multiple roles for this limited series, serving as both the head writer and executive producer, as well as the showrunner for the eight-episode production.
In this book description, Margo Millet is depicted as having financial difficulties. Born to a waitress at Hooters and an ex-professional wrestler, Margo has always been aware that she would need to carve her own path. Consequently, she decides to attend her local community college, despite being uncertain about how she will earn a living in the future.
After her professor’s affair, Margo opted not to follow advice on terminating the pregnancy, instead choosing to raise the baby due to a mix of innocence and a longing for something more significant. Struggling financially and lonely, she permitted her distant father, Jinx, to reside with her in return for assistance with childcare duties.
Margo considers launching an OnlyFans account, applying Jinx’s wrestling guidance to craft a captivating persona. The description suggests that this venture might be the solution to all her issues, but could online popularity come at an excessive cost?
Pfeiffer is additionally set to appear in the upcoming spin-off series titled “The Madison“, which delves into themes of loss and human relationships. This show focuses on a family residing in the Madison River valley of Montana’s central region.
The upcoming series, now known as “The Madison,” was originally named “2024.” This new show marks Yellowstone’s third spin-off, following “1883” and “1923.” In addition to starring in the show, Pfeiffer will also serve as a producer.
Yellowstone streams on Paramount+.
