Michelle Monaghan Stuns in Daring Red Gown at 2025 BAFTAs
At the 2025 BAFTAs held at London’s Royal Festival Hall last Sunday, I was truly captivated by Michelle Monaghan‘s breathtaking presence in a fiery red gown that left me speechless.
In a dazzling sequined dress with a deep-cut neckline and feathered hem, the 48-year-old actress from The White Lotus, set to appear in season three, drew attention everywhere she went.
On the red carpet, the American actress created quite a stir with an impressive array of stunning photographs, radiating self-assurance while wearing her attention-grabbing outfit.
She preferred to wear less jewelry, but her style was undeniably bold with a large diamond choker and pendant, which she wore with a radiant smile.
At the glamorous award ceremony, Michelle was among the event’s hosts, radiating elegance as she handed out the Cinematography Award to Lol Crawley for “The Brutalist.
As the darkness of night fell, I found myself in the exhilarating company of the talented Lol, basking in the radiance of our shared victory, posing proudly within the victor’s sanctum.

2025’s EE BAFTAs made a grand comeback, offering an evening filled with excitement as they honored the outstanding films from the past year and the remarkable artists who breathe life into them.
At the 2025 BAFTA awards, Mikey Madison won the Best Actress award, and Adrien Brody took home the Best Actor prize. Additionally, both Conclave and The Brutalist garnered four awards each, shining at the glamorous event.
At The Royal Festival Hall, Adrien, aged 51, and Mikey, 25, graciously received their awards for their notable performances in The Brutalist and Anora respectively, on the stage.
On the grand evening of British cinema, David Tennant graced the stage as our host, accompanied by several other presenters who handed out awards throughout the exciting event.
Against a long roster of 10 contenders, the film “Conclave” emerged victorious in the exceptional category of Outstanding British Film at the BAFTAs, further bolstering its collection with two existing awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing.
In a remarkable turn of events, “The Brutalist” garnered four prestigious awards: Adrien was honored as Best Actor, Brady Corbet received the deserved accolade for Best Director, the title also took home the award for Best Cinematography, and it won Best Original Score.
In response to the British people, Adrien offered a heartfelt homage, confessing that England has been feeling remarkably familiar and welcoming in recent times.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude: “Thank you to the British public for welcoming me and appreciating my artistic work. England has been feeling very much like home recently, and your acceptance means a great deal to me. I will always treasure this experience; thank you all.

Brady expressed his feelings by saying, “I am deeply moved and extremely thankful. The title of the ‘best director’ doesn’t exist; it’s more like a jest.
In a heartfelt speech upon receiving the BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film for Conclave, director Edward Berger expressed his deep gratitude, stating, ‘This is an incredible honor! I’m not even from here, yet I feel incredibly welcome among you all. We are living in challenging times for democracy. Regrettably, institutions that once united us are now being used to divide us.’
In challenging circumstances like those, it can be tough to hold onto hope. That’s exactly why stories are told, and that’s the reason we created this story on screen.
Besides Mikey winning the Best Actress award, the independent film “Anora,” which outperformed major films at the Critics Choice Awards last week, also received the award for Best Ensemble Casting.
With an emotional acceptance speech filled with strong language, Zoe Saldana won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the Mexican film titled Emilia Perez.
The highly acclaimed actress, aged 46, found herself swiftly taken away from the camera after exclaiming a string of curse words, “darn, darn, darn,” in response to being rushed during the countdown.
Zoe burst into tears as she received the award, acknowledging that receiving this honor felt incredibly affirming and truly prestigious. This recognition came as a relief, since she had been advised by speech coaches in the past that her British accent might not be suitable for success in this field.

Listing off her thank yous, Zoe said: ‘Oh my god I’m getting a countdown. F*** f*** f***!’
Despite some divided opinions due to its release, the Mexican film featuring Selena Gomez boasts an impressive 11 nomination nods.
Jesse Eisenberg, aged 41, graciously accepted the Best Supporting Actor award that was given to his co-star Kieran Culkin, acknowledging his notable performance in “A Real Pain” where Eisenberg played the leading role.
Grabbing Kieran’s trophy, the fifth one he’s been awarded this season on his behalf, Jesse humorously commented: “It just proves what I’ve long suspected… we share quite a bit in common, but his life is about 27% more fabulous than mine.
In a more conversational style, we could say: Jesse, the director and lead actor in “A Real Pain”, won the award for Best Original Screenplay and delivered a heartfelt speech on stage.
Winning the second place award, he confessed, “Since I didn’t believe I would win, I didn’t write anything. I’m going to give this recognition to my wife, who stayed home since she thought I wouldn’t win.
As Jacques Audiard, age 72 and director of Emilia Pérez, accepted the award for Best Non-English Language Film, he expressed a touching tribute to the troubled actress Karla Sofía Gascón.
52-year-old Spanish actress Karla was not included in the BAFTA guest list due to a resurgence of controversial posts on her social media platforms, which were deemed offensive and sparked debates over racism, homophobia, and body shaming allegations.

In his speech, Jacques expressed gratitude towards the film’s cast first, and then he concluded by acknowledging Karla Sofia, to whom he paid a special tribute with a kiss.
While Zoe, another character from the film, gave an emotional thanks speech with a sprinkle of expletives, she made sure to acknowledge Karla among those she was grateful for.
Previously, the director labeled the actress’ tweets as “unforgivable” and “discriminatory,” stating that they negatively impacted their professional bond.
At the BAFTA Awards ceremony, Warwick Davis tugged at everyone’s emotions when, during his heartfelt acceptance speech for receiving a BAFTA Fellowship, he paid tribute to his deceased wife Samantha David, who tragically passed away the previous year.
He expressed: “This seems to be the greatest event in my life… and I was part of Star Wars! Tonight, I intend to express gratitude to my mother, for it is thanks to her that I am here.

Primarily, I’d like to express this heartfelt dedication to my beloved wife Sammy, who we lost nearly a year ago. She was an unwavering source of encouragement in my professional journey. Although life has been challenging for me, I have found solace and strength in the support of our extraordinary children.
Orlando Bloom and Vanesa Kirby graced the stage to present Jesse’s BAFTA award at the ceremony.
In the recent awards ceremony, Demi Moore’s film, titled “The Substance,” won the prize for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Meanwhile, “Dune: Part Two” was a double winner, receiving accolades for its outstanding sound work and impressive visual effects.
During that eventful evening, I was thrilled to see Wallace and Gromit walk away with not just one, but two BAFTAs. They were honored in the categories of Best Animation and Best Children’s and Family Film. What a remarkable achievement!
In an easier-to-understand manner, filmmaker Rich Peppiatt, who both directed and wrote “Kneecap,” was awarded the prestigious Outstanding Debut trophy. During his heartfelt acceptance speech, he paid tribute to all those individuals who tirelessly persevere in their respective battles.
As a lifestyle connoisseur looking back on an extraordinary awards night, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of elation as Jon M. Chu’s masterpiece, Wicked, took home its first BAFTA for Best Production Design, a well-deserved recognition that only added to the movie’s grandeur. Later in the evening, the cinematic juggernaut continued its triumphant march by claiming another award – this time for Best Costume Design. The accolades bestowed upon Wicked were more than just trophies; they were testaments to a shared appreciation of artistry and vision that transcended the screen and resonated within us all.
