Michelle Keegan returns for first role since her award-winning series was confirmed to be ending
Michelle Keegan is back on the filming location for a mysterious new project, marking her first role following the confirmation that Brassic has come to an end.
Over the weekend, Keegan posted a collection of images from an unspecified spot on Instagram. Later, carrying an iced coffee, she was seen beaming at the makeup station in readiness for a photo session – this is the actress from ‘Ten Pound Poms’.
Six months since the announcement that the popular comedy-drama series, Brassic, created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, would conclude after its seventh season, Keegan has embarked on a new project.

In 2018, Keegan joined the show and has been praised for her performance as Erin Croft, a feisty and self-reliant character who is a single mom. She has a complicated bond with troubled main character Vinnie, played by Joe Gilgun.

Keegan, having joined the series in 2018, has earned recognition for her role as the fiery and independent Erin Croft – a young mother who navigates a complex relationship with the disturbed protagonist, Vinnie (portrayed by Joe Gilgun).
In May, it was confirmed that Keegan had finished shooting the seventh season of Brassic. In response, she wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram.
At last, the amazing Brassic adventure has concluded (I can hardly believe I’m saying that), and it’s been an incredible 7 years! I feel incredibly fortunate to have contributed in some way to such an impressive production,” she reminisced.
Right from when I first laid eyes on the script, I could sense that this project would be unlike any other. And indeed, it turned out to be extraordinary. A big thank you goes out to everyone involved in making the show over the years – for the laughter, camaraderie, and most importantly, for creating unforgettable memories…
At the moment, the seventh and concluding season of “Brassic” hasn’t been given a release date as of now. But you can catch up with seasons one through six on Sky Max and NOW streaming platforms.
Before the debut of season seven, co-creator Danny Brocklehurst looked back on the show’s development and ending. “Joe Gilgun and I never thought, even in our most ambitious fantasies, that we would create seven series for Brassic, let alone amass such a devoted and affectionate fanbase,” he stated in January.
It has been an absolute pleasure constructing this peculiar universe, yet as the saying goes, every good thing eventually concludes. We’d like to bring our adventure to a close while we’re still on top, perhaps then they might award us with that coveted BAFTA!
Ryan Sampson, Aaron Heffernan, Joanna Higson, Parth Thakerar, Steve Evets, as well as Keegan and Gilgun, have all been confirmed to rejoin the cast.
The seventh season of Brassic has not been given a release date yet. You can watch seasons 1 through 6 on Sky Max and NOW in the UK.
