As a lifestyle expert, I’m always hearing about how busy things get around the holidays, and it sounds like Michelle Keegan is no different! She recently had a fun pre-Christmas celebration with her co-stars, and then she’s looking forward to a cozy festive season at home with her husband, Mark Wright, and their adorable daughter, Palma. It’s all about balancing work and family, and she seems to be doing a great job!
The actress is currently filming ‘The Blame,’ a six-episode TV drama about corruption and power struggles within a police force in a small English town.
Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s happening! Keegan just posted on Instagram that this is her last week filming with Nathan, Douglas, Nigel, and Joe! I can’t believe it! It feels like just yesterday we found out about this project, and now it’s wrapping up. I’m seriously going to miss seeing them all together on set – they’re the best! I’m already counting down the days until we get to see the finished product, but a little part of me is sad it’s ending. I’m going to be stalking their Instagrams even more now, just to get any little glimpse of these last few days!
The actress announced the end of filming for ‘The Blame’ by sharing some behind-the-scenes photos. She’s been shooting the show in Hertfordshire, London, and Essex, and posted, ‘IT’S A WRAP!’
The new drama series is adapted from Charlotte Langley’s first novel and follows the story of a town called Wakestead shaken by the discovery of a teenage figure skater’s body.
This show explores the hidden secrets, growing distrust, and widespread corruption lurking beneath the calm exterior of a small town.

The story starts with the discovery of Sophie Madsen, a young figure skater, who is found dead, deeply upsetting the town of Wakestead.
When detectives Crane and Radley investigate a death, they uncover a complex case filled with deceit, hidden secrets within the system, and difficult choices.
With time running out and relationships falling apart, Detective Crane finds herself juggling a murder case and the complicated power struggles within her team.
Joining Keegan will be Nigel Boyle, known for Line of Duty, who will portray Brett Shergill, a forensic technician.
Joe Armstrong, known for his role in ‘Fool Me Once’ alongside Michelle Keegan, will play an ice-skating coach named Kyle Fraiser in the upcoming series ‘Robin Hood’.
The cast also includes Ian Hart, known for The Last Kingdom, Nathan Mensah, Matilda Freeman from Passenger, Gavin Spokes of House of the Dragon, Josh Bolt who appeared in Last Tango in Halifax, and Ceallach Spellman, a star of White Lines.
Polly Hill, ITV’s Head of Drama, greenlit the new six-episode series. It was created and executive produced by Megan Gallagher, who also wrote ‘All Her Fault’ and ‘Wolf’.
I’m absolutely hooked on ‘The Blame’! It’s a fantastic new crime thriller that’s kept me guessing at every turn. What I really appreciate is that it’s not just a thrilling mystery – it also bravely explores really important issues like corruption within the police force, how people are taken advantage of, and the way women are treated. It’s a complex story that really gets under your skin.

Megan’s a fantastic writer, and with Michelle Keegan starring and Nicola Shindler producing, this drama is set to be a real standout – I’m thrilled it’s on ITV.
Executive producer Gallagher explained that ‘The Blame’ is a vital and timely story, and he was thrilled to adapt Charlotte Langley’s characters and world for the screen.
I’m thrilled to be working with Quay Street Productions for the second time. They’re a fantastic team, and I feel completely supported.
The Blame is expected to air in 2026. An official release date is yet to be confirmed.
