Michelle Keegan celebrates as Shameless-style show trends on Netflix

As a longtime fan of British television, I can’t help but feel like Michelle Keegan has become my personal Netflix fairy godmother! With her latest series, Brassic, now trending on the platform and raking in views, it seems that she’s been sprinkling her magic stardust all over our screens.

Michelle Keegan is rejoicing as her show, Brassic, debuts on Netflix, quickly becoming a popular topic on the streaming platform.

Last week, the comedy series “Sky” made its debut on our platform and quickly climbed up the ranks, now holding the second position in the UK’s Top 10 on Netflix!

Prior to its debut, Keegan shared a collection of backstage photos on August 19, offering glimpses into her work on the production.

To mark the release of BRASSIC on Netflix this coming Thursday, let’s take a trip down memory lane and reminisce about the timeless moments of ‘Brassic’ through the years, as she put it in her post.

The show debuted in 2019, and it centers around a band of companions living in a made-up northern locale, who engage in small-time criminal activities and devise strategies to maintain their finances.

The show was developed by both Joe Gilgun, who plays a character in it, and Danny Brocklehurst. Keegan is portraying the character Erin Croft.

Additionally, the show features Damian Molony, Ryan Oliver Sampson, Aaron Heffernan, Parth Thakerar, Bronagh Gallagher, Joanna Higson, and Dominic West as its cast members.

Currently, only the first four seasons of the show are available on Netflix, but it has just been renewed for a seventh season on Sky before the premiere of the sixth season in September.

In response to the announcement in June, Brocklehurst expressed: “Wow, season seven! But how? I enjoy creating each episode of Brassic, and it’s an honor to generate even more mayhem for our dedicated and affectionate viewers.”

2021 turned out to be quite a triumphant year for Keegan on Netflix, as her show “Fool Me Once” gained massive popularity following its debut in January.

In its initial two weeks, the show garnered a staggering 61 million views worldwide, eventually climbing to be the eight highest-watched English-language Netflix series ever produced.

Brassic is currently broadcasted on Sky Max and NOW, with seasons 1 through 4 available for streaming on Netflix. The sixth season will debut on Sky and NOW in September 2024.
