Michael Usher is a well-known face on Australian TV screens.
However, his teenage daughter was the center of attention as they appeared on the red carpet on Thursday.
Oh my gosh, I was *completely* blown away seeing Alex, who’s only 18, at the Back to the Future musical premiere in Sydney! She looked absolutely movie star glamorous, seriously! And to top it all off, she was there with her amazing dad! I couldn’t take my eyes off her!
The teenager opted for a plunging black, maxi-length gown worn with strappy silver heels.
She added a smattering of boho accessories and had a henna tattoo in orange ink on one hand.
Her 55-year-old dad, meanwhile, was dapper in a classic black suit worn with a white dress shirt.
The proud dad could not wipe the smile off his face as he posed alongside his daughter for photos.
Michael shares sons Tom, 23, Max, 19, and daughter Alex with his ex-wife Annalie Usher.
The news anchor recently shared that his divorce from Annalie left him feeling completely devastated.
Michael, who first gained recognition at Nine and now works for competitor Seven, mentioned that balancing demanding work hours with being a father is challenging, but ultimately rewarding.
He shared with Stellar Magazine that while he might *seem* calm and collected, it’s just a facade. ‘It may look like I’ve got things in hand, but I’m like a duck paddling underneath,’ he explained.
It feels like I’m constantly struggling to keep everything afloat, and things are often chaotic, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. It’s a constant balancing act, and I definitely feel dad guilt sometimes, but somehow, it all manages to work out.
He admitted to Stellar that his marriage breakdown was unbearable.
I was completely devastated for a period of time. When you experience a difficult time, especially when life is moving quickly and you suddenly face an obstacle that brings everything to a halt, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed – and that’s exactly what happened to me, he said.

Michael explained that he wouldn’t have managed without the help of his friends and coworkers. He really relied on their support to get through things.
Although he hasn’t made any public statements, reports indicated that Michael and his former wife separated because of the demanding schedule he had while working on Nine’s 60 Minutes.
According to a source who spoke to Woman’s Day magazine in 2016, people jokingly referred to it as the ‘60 Minutes curse.’
‘The pressure of being on the road and working away from home affects marriages,’ they added.
‘It’s hard to keep starting over every time you get back from an extended overseas assignment.’
