Paris Jackson was seen looking sad in Los Angeles on Thursday after a court ruled against her in her legal dispute with the people managing her father Michael Jackson’s estate.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely, and it’s interesting to see how things are unfolding. The judge just made a decision, siding with the estate and dismissing parts of Paris’s legal challenge. I got the details from court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, and it seems like a significant step forward for the estate in this ongoing situation.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely! Recently, a retired Los Angeles judge, Mitchell L. Beckloff, stepped in to mediate a disagreement, and on November 10th, he made a decision supporting John Branca and John McClain, who were handling Michael Jackson’s estate. It’s good to see things moving forward for the estate.
Paris recently shared that years of drug use caused lasting damage to her nose. Several of her legal claims were dismissed thanks to a California law designed to protect people from frivolous lawsuits.
She criticized documents submitted to the court by the estate, but these filings are legally protected. This protection exists to prevent people from using lawsuits to silence or threaten those who disagree with them.
A representative for Paris Jackson told the Daily Mail that a recent legal matter involves only small technical details and doesn’t alter the core issues. They believe the actions of the estate’s executors and their lawyers are concerning, and Paris is committed to making sure her family is treated justly. An updated legal document will be filed soon.

Okay, so I’ve been following the Michael Jackson estate stuff closely, and Paris – she’s the one in the middle, with Prince being the oldest and Bigi the youngest – she just filed something on June 24th, and the Daily Mail got a hold of it. Basically, she’s really questioning what the estate’s executors were doing with money back in 2018. She’s calling out these bonuses and ‘premium’ payouts as super suspicious, and honestly, good for her for looking into it! I’ve always felt something wasn’t right, and she’s brave for bringing it all to light. It’s just… frustrating to see all this happening with my idol’s legacy.
Paris’s lawyers stated in a June filing that $625,000 was paid to three law firms as ‘gifts’ and ‘gratuities’ to cover work they hadn’t formally billed for.
The petition argued that the executors didn’t try to understand why the lawyers hadn’t recorded their unbilled hours, or why that shouldn’t affect their payment.
Paris’s lawyers stated that two of the firms received extra payments, violating the court’s rule that all attorney fees must be approved before being fully paid.
What’s even more troubling is that these payments seem to include excessively generous gifts to lawyers who were already being paid well.
In a filing on July 31st, Paris asked the court to require the executors of her father’s estate to submit requests for approval to pay her lawyers and cover their expenses for the years 2019 through 2023, giving them 90 days to do so.
As a longtime supporter of my father’s legacy, I was really concerned to learn that those in charge of his estate seemed to be operating without much accountability. What bothered me most was discovering they apparently made large, unexplained payments – gifts of $125,000 and $250,000 – to the estate’s lawyers, payments that weren’t part of any agreed-upon contract. It just felt wrong and raised a lot of questions for me.
In her court filing, she also explained that the missing records for these payments over five years makes it impossible for the court and those who should benefit from the funds to properly monitor and oversee them.

Branca and McClain, the people handling the estate, admitted to making the payments in question. However, they argued with Paris about the information included in their submitted documents and the timing of those submissions.
The judge ruled that some of Paris’ claims were protected by law because they repeated information from documents filed in probate court. However, not all of her claims were dismissed, and some parts of her petition were allowed to move forward.
Okay, so the judge didn’t throw out my complaint! That’s huge! It means I still get to question what the executor did with the lawyer fees, and more importantly, I can finally demand they show us everything – every single thing – they’ve been doing with the estate. It’s about time my brothers and I got a clear, honest breakdown of everything. I’ve been worried sick about this, and this ruling gives me hope that we’ll actually get some answers!
Paris is now responsible for the legal fees of the estate’s lawyers, but only for the work they did defending against the SLAPP suit.
On Thursday, Paris was photographed wearing a simple, faded beige dress, a long brown cardigan, and brown cowboy boots.
She had long, wavy blonde hair with visible dark roots, styled in a relaxed side braid that cascaded over her shoulder.
Paris, who followed in her father’s footsteps as a musician, accessorized with multiple long necklaces and unique earrings. She completed her look with a brown shoulder bag.
She recently revealed in a video that she has a hole in her nose caused by past cocaine use.

She explained that she’d never mentioned a persistent whistling sound people sometimes notice when she breathes. This is due to a hole in her septum, also known as a perforated septum.
The singer showed fans what was going on inside her nose by using her phone’s flashlight to reveal a clear path from one side to the other.
She explained that the whistling sound sometimes heard when she breathes through her nose was present in an earlier video she shared.
A perforated septum is simply a hole in the cartilage that divides your nostrils, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The wall between your nostrils, called the septum, is made of bone, cartilage, and soft tissue. Using drugs like cocaine can damage it, causing holes or tears.
A hole in the nasal septum can also develop from overuse of nasal steroid sprays, injuries, exposure to harsh chemicals, infections, autoimmune diseases, or even tumors.
Paris has openly discussed her history with drug use and recently explained the hole in her nose, suggesting it’s related to past substance use. She’s been managing this issue since she was around 20 years old.
Toward the end of the video, she looked into the camera and advised, ‘Don’t do drugs, kids.’

She quickly changed the subject, saying something along the lines of, ‘Everyone will face their own challenges and make their own choices. I’m not here to judge or tell people how to live their lives.’
Paris Jackson publicly separated herself from her father’s new movie, Michael, after the trailer was released earlier this month.
Her cousin Jaafar Jackson portrays the King of Pop in Antoine Fuqua’s $155 million two-part movie.
Coming to theaters on April 24, 2026, the film is produced by John Branca and John McClain, who manage Michael Jackson’s estate.
Paris Jackson publicly addressed a statement made by actor Colman Domingo, clarifying that she does not support his upcoming film. Domingo, who plays her great-grandfather Joe Jackson in the movie, had claimed she was ‘very much in support’ of the project.
He mentioned to People magazine in late August that he had a short conversation with Paris and her brother, Prince, 28, at the amfAR Venezia Gala.
Domingo enthusiastically shared that they strongly support our movie. He also expressed his happiness being at amfAR with Paris, saying it was a lovely opportunity for them to spend time together.
Via Instagram Stories, Paris contradicted his statement and shared her side of things.
Paris jokingly called out Colman Domingo on social media, saying he shouldn’t claim she helped on a movie set since she wasn’t involved at all. She found the suggestion ‘so weird’ and shared it with her followers.
In a later post, she explained that she’d given feedback on an early version of the script, pointing out parts that felt untrue or didn’t feel right. When the writers didn’t incorporate her suggestions, she decided to stop being involved.
