Paris Jackson was seen looking relaxed in Los Angeles this week, despite her ongoing and difficult legal fight with those managing her father Michael Jackson’s estate.
Oh my gosh, I saw her yesterday! She was just doing normal stuff in her hometown, running errands, and it was the cutest thing ever. And Malachai! Her sweet dog she got last year was with her, happily trotting along on a leash. I nearly died of happiness!
Paris, celebrating six years of sobriety, dressed casually for her outing in cutoff denim shorts, a loose brown T-shirt, and cowboy boots.
She had long, light blonde hair peeking out from under a brown baseball cap, and she wore a collection of beaded bracelets and necklaces.
Paris and her pint-sized pup strolled side-by-side down the sidewalk as they exited a store.
I always say, a woman’s accessories tell a story! This woman was definitely prepared – she had a huge shopping bag for all her finds, balanced with a really chic brown leather purse, complete with cool stud detailing, slung over her shoulder. It was a perfect mix of practical and stylish, and I loved it!
Paris’s trip to Los Angeles follows her recent, attention-grabbing appearance at an event in Hollywood just about two weeks ago.
On January 15, she attended the exclusive Bulgari Eternal Vimini Rooftop Party.
I was absolutely captivated by Paris’s outfit! She looked stunning in this flowy, chocolate-brown dress that really showed off her legs. And those gold heels? Seriously gorgeous – they were open-toed and had the prettiest little leaf details. It was such a chic and elegant look!
The party attracted many famous faces, including Maude Apatow from Euphoria and stars Rudy Pankow and Jonathan Daviss from Outer Banks.
Shortly before Paris was scheduled to attend the Bulgari event, a new issue arose in her ongoing legal dispute with those managing her late father’s estate.
The people in charge of Michael Jackson’s estate, John McClain and John Branca, say they are owed around $115,000 in fees because of their legal disputes with Jackson’s daughter.
Earlier this month, the couple’s lawyers filed documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court regarding their request.
According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the executors of the estate submitted a detailed breakdown of their anticipated fees for handling the estate’s affairs.
Court documents show the company spent $93,924.63 on legal fees and $1,238.39 in costs related to a motion to protect against a lawsuit designed to silence them.
This stemmed from a legal challenge Paris Jackson made in July 2025, where she raised concerns about how Michael Jackson’s estate was being handled by those in charge.
As a lifestyle expert, I always try to get all sides of a story, so my team reached out to representatives and legal counsel for both the estate and Paris herself for comment. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive a response, even after multiple attempts.
Paris emphasized that the people managing the estate should prioritize the needs of those who will inherit and protect her father’s reputation.
Paris made this request after a previous attempt to review how the estate’s finances were handled was unsuccessful.
In a recent court document, Paris alleged that the co-executors failed to properly invest $464 million in cash held by the estate.
Paris’s lawyers argued that the co-executors didn’t take steps to invest the large amount of money and increase the estate’s overall earnings.
Paris was also angry that the estate was paying lawyers for various legal matters.
According to court filings, Paris stated that ten law firms received over $4.5 million in 2021 – more than any single person did that year.
Paris said that between 2009 and 2021, executors were paid a total of $148 million.
Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, at age 50, after a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.
Authorities in February 2010 deemed his death as the result of acute propofol intoxication.
Jackson received a strong medication from his doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray. Investigators said Jackson referred to the drug – which was given through an IV – as ‘milk’ and explained he required it to help him sleep.
The news of Jackson’s death brought a huge outpouring of tributes from fans around the world, both at memorial sites and across social media.
Michael Jackson’s three children, who hadn’t been seen in public without masks before, attended a widely-watched memorial service for him on July 7, 2009, at what is now Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles (then called Staples Center).
At the emotional service, 11-year-old Paris shared how much she loved her father, describing him as the best a person could ask for since the day she was born.
A private funeral service for Michael Jackson’s family and close friends took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
After Michael Jackson died, Dr. Conrad Murray faced investigation regarding his treatment of the singer. Concerns arose about his decisions regarding the dosage of the medication he administered, and whether he followed proper safety procedures.
Investigators concluded that Michael Jackson’s death was a homicide. Over two years later, in November 2011, his doctor, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and received a four-year prison sentence.
Michael Jackson enjoyed an extraordinary and incredibly successful music career. He’s one of the best-selling musicians ever, and earned 13 Grammy Awards from a total of 38 nominations.
He received several awards, including a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” in 1980, and both Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Thriller” and “Beat It” in 1984.
In 1993, he received a Grammy Legend Award, and after his death, The Recording Academy honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
