Michael Clarke lists his harbourside mansion after splashing $20million on a brand new Vaucluse home

Michael Clarke is selling his old waterfront home in Sydney after recently buying a new one nearby for $20 million.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing buzz about a stunning five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Vaucluse – one of Sydney’s most sought-after neighborhoods. Interestingly, the owners haven’t publicly listed a price just yet, which only adds to the intrigue!

The famous cricketer, age 44, has finished remodeling the home he bought in 2021 for $13.1 million. The house is designed in a European style.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I’ve been tracking this property for ages, and the experts at Domain are saying it could sell for over $20 million! It’s absolutely massive – 778 square metres, can you even imagine?! I’m already planning how I’ll win the lottery to buy it, honestly. It’s just… perfection.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to see homes designed for truly comfortable living, and this one really delivers! It’s a gorgeous, three-story property that feels like a permanent vacation. Think huge, flowing spaces – perfect for entertaining – and a beautiful, open layout that makes everything feel connected. Plus, it has all the extras you’d expect from a luxury resort, like a sparkling pool and a dedicated formal dining room for special occasions. It’s all about relaxed elegance and making the most of every moment.

The property is accessed via a grand entranceway.

The kitchen and dining area on the main floor open up to a deck perfect for entertaining. Upstairs, you’ll find a lounge area and a verandah.

The primary bedroom occupies a full corner on the second floor and includes a walk-in closet, a private bathroom, and a balcony.

Additional highlights include a private cinema and study.

It comes after Clarke purchased a magnificent six-bedroom mansion near his previous property.

This solid, three-story brick home is set back from the street with lovely gardens. It features six bathrooms, several living spaces, and parking for two vehicles.

The property features a regulation-size tennis court facing north, along with a gas-heated pool and plenty of sunny patio space.

The home features a stunning entrance hall with a circular ceiling and a beautifully designed staircase. This area connects both the formal and relaxed living spaces.

The heart of the home is a luxurious kitchen featuring stunning Calacatta marble countertops, high-end Smeg and Highland appliances, a built-in cocktail bar, and a Sonos sound system throughout.

The ground floor features a lively recreation area and media room that flows directly out to the pool and gardens. A separate gym completes this ideal layout for hosting guests and enjoying leisure time.

The main bedroom upstairs has a large private bathroom and walk-in closet. The other bedrooms are perfect for family members or visitors.

I’ve been following this property for a while now, and it’s quite a story! It last changed hands back in 2007 for $7 million. This year, there was talk of it being listed around $25 million, but ultimately, Clarke managed to purchase it through a private sale – a deal done outside of the usual auction process.

He previously offloaded his former matrimonial residence with ex-wife Kyly for $12million.

Next-door to Clarke will be radio personality Kyle Sandilands with his wife, Tegan, and also former Westpac CEO David Morgan and his wife, Ros Kelly, who used to be a government minister.
