Michael B. Jordan continues to embody the essence of his “Black Panther” co-star Chadwick Boseman even five years after his passing. The esteemed actor has shared that Boseman remains an influential figure, serving as a driving force behind his acting in the supernatural thriller, inspiring him greatly.
As a passionate cinephile, I sat down with Michael B. Jordan to discuss his meticulous process in portraying the twin brothers in the period vampire film. He confessed that he drew inspiration from Chadwick Boseman, following some guidance from director Ryan Coogler. “Chadwick Boseman holds a special place for us all, and when Ryan posed the question, ‘What would Chad be doing right now?’, it struck a chord with us. It was a profound moment, and I could feel his presence during this experience.
In the Marvel film “Black Panther,” Michael B. Jordan portrayed Killmonger alongside Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa. Their exceptional performances contributed significantly to the movie’s success as a billion-dollar blockbuster and cultural touchstone. The passing of Boseman deeply affected Jordan and Coogler, having forged a strong bond with the deceased actor throughout their years together. The forthcoming “Black Panther” sequel, titled “Wakanda Forever,” serves as an on-screen tribute to Boseman.
Sinners Has Been Very Successful
In the course of their collaboration, which includes the Black Panther films, Fruitvale Station, and Creed, Sinners marks the fifth project for Jordan and Coogler. This film, set in the era of Jim Crow Mississippi, is a supernatural thriller that follows Smoke and Stack as they attempt to leave their past traumas behind upon returning home. However, it becomes apparent that the people they encounter have more hidden depths than initially perceived.

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve found myself captivated by “Sinners,” a vampire film that transcends the genre. Jordan and Coogler have masterfully emphasized its diversity, making it a standout in the film industry. Critics can’t get enough of it, with Warner Bros.’ release garnering an astounding 98% critical acclaim on Rotten Tomatoes, and audiences equally impressed, reflected in a 96% audience score. It’s a must-watch!
The movie has recently achieved significant box office success, raking in $63.5 million globally as of now. Alongside Jordan, the film Sinners boasts talents like Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jack O’Connell. Interestingly, despite this impressive performance, it seems unlikely that a sequel will be made.
Sinners is currently playing in theaters worldwide.
