As a lifestyle aficionado, I couldn’t help but notice when Meghan Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry. Being a multiracial actress of extraordinary beauty, I believed her inclusion in the British Royal Family would undeniably add a refreshing and modern touch.

The soul artist, television host, and actress who was recognized as one of the ‘Great Black Britons’ has expressed dismay over the Duchess of Sussex’s actions. Particularly troubling for her is Meghan’s claims of unspecified racism from undisclosed senior members of the Royal Family in her revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

At a recent London gathering, Mica shared with me that they frequently crossed paths with Harry on the polo field in days gone by. ‘He’s a great individual,’ Mica said of him. ‘I’ve never met Meghan myself, but I don’t share her view that the Royal Family is racist – my personal encounters have not led me to believe that.’

She notes: ‘It might not be productive to point out individuals whom you believe are racist. Doing so could further fuel hatred. Instead, try to move past it.’

Meghan has complained on multiple occasions about her treatment in the Royal Household.

Mica, aged 56, who previously achieved pop success before moving on to act in EastEnders and host What Not To Wear, expresses: ‘It’s time for us to stop complaining. Instead, let’s appreciate. Every morning when I wake up, I feel incredibly grateful to be alive.’

As someone who’s faced numerous goodbyes through the passage of years, I’ve encountered more than my fair share of loss and death. This experience has instilled in me an even greater appreciation for life. Unfortunately, I find myself often hearing complaints from many millennials instead of gratitude for what they have now.

It’s somewhat reminiscent of celebrities complaining about their celebrity status. One might ask, why bother with such complaints?

Given the hardships people are facing right now, it seems unfair to complain about minor inconveniences when you have a limousine outside and a comfortable home.

However, if, similar to Meghan, you persistently complain, “Alas, alas, I am wretched, I am wretched!” without seeking healing, all you’re doing is making the hurt worse.

55-year-old Symonds shares that she’s reacting positively to chemotherapy, however, she also mentions that this treatment has unfortunately led to her developing Addison’s disease as well. This is a relatively uncommon condition affecting the adrenal glands, which can cause symptoms similar to those experienced during flu. Currently, Symonds is working on an honest and candid memoir, expressing her sentiment: ‘I’m a woman with no more constraints.’

 

Brucie’s widow Lady Forsyth stung by Du Beke comment 

Lady Forsyth, Bruce Forsyth’s wife, expressed dismay and sorrow after Anton Du Beke, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, stated earlier this year that she might find her husband, had he been alive, ‘furious’ about his final resting place.

Since the passing of Sir Bruce, the beloved host of Strictly, in 2017, after an illustrious 73-year career in entertainment, his ashes were humbly laid to rest beneath the very stage of the London Palladium – a token of appreciation for our shared history with this grand theater.

He shares a spot with comedian Des O’Connor, who died three years later.

Beke asserted: ‘Bruce wouldn’t have taken kindly to this situation, as he wasn’t the type for acting together twice.’

This piece is unique, adorned with lab-created diamonds and bearing the initials D X C – a special touch that represents the couple’s names, while ‘X’ symbolizes a tender ‘kiss’, a term of endearment in Irish, known as ‘pog’.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share the thrilling news from the man himself, Sam Jackson, the mastermind behind BBC Radio 3 and The Proms. He assures us that every year brings a fresh symphony to our ears, and next year will be no exception. The lineup may shift, but rest assured, it will echo once more with the harmonious voices of British choirs. Ah, the sweet anticipation of harmony returning!

 

(Very) modern manners

Among the most cherished Christmas cards of 2024, signed ‘Charles R and Camilla R’, stood out undoubtedly. However, it seems that its charm has waned, at least for one unnamed card receiver.

Despite initially intending to keep the card as a keepsake, they’re planning to sell it just half a year after receiving it. The cover features a gilt-embossed royal cypher and inside, there’s a tranquil photo of the Royal Couple accompanied by a festive greeting – ‘Wishing you a joyful Christmas and prosperous New Year’. It will be auctioned off on Tuesday, with an estimated value between £200 and £300.

Mrs Cracknell has a pop at chart stardom

She’s the wife of two-time Olympic gold medalist and previous participant on Strictly Come Dancing, James Cracknell, and currently, Jordan Connell is aiming to establish her own reputation.

As a passionate devotee, I’m thrilled to share that I, an American finance leader at heart, have been secretly crafting my first pop single. It’s a high-energy, 1980s-inspired dance track titled “Gordon Gekko,” which I co-created with the talented Tom Marlow from Love Island.

Previously, there was a popular tune, “I’m Searching for a Man in Finance.” It constantly made me wonder, “Why is it always a man in finance?” I desired to turn the tables – to demonstrate that women can also be dominant and career-driven. So here she is, a powerful and ambitious woman, asserting her position as a boss lady.

In the music video, Jordan appears on the left side, sporting tight-fitting dresses, satin blouses, and towering heels, embodying a female interpretation of Michael Douglas’s iconic Wall Street banker character. “James really enjoys the song and is quite eager for its release,” she mentions.

In the year 2021, I found myself walking down the aisle for a fresh start, having parted ways after seventeen years with my former partner, the esteemed TV host Beverley Turner. Together, we raised three wonderful children, but life took us in different directions.
