MIBR GC secured their place as the top team in South America by winning against KRÜ BLAZE in a crucial elimination match at GCC 2025.
Okay, so the final match to decide who stays in the Game Changers Championship was intense! It was MIBR GC versus KRÜ Blaze, and it was a best-of-three – meaning first team to win two games would live to fight another day. The losing team? Well, their tournament would be over right then and there. Seriously, the pressure was on!
South American queens
These two teams know each other well, having practiced against each other frequently as fellow South American competitors. Despite playing so far from home, this match feels very familiar. KRÜ Blaze is coming in with a lot of confidence after their success in the Lower Bracket, while their opponents are hoping to reach a Brazilian Grand Finals – but first, they need to defeat KRÜ, known affectionately as the ‘manitas’.
A rivalry is brewing between Chilean Valorant players Paula “bstrdd” Naguil and Constanza “conir” Reyes. Naguil, representing MIBR GC, has boldly claimed the title of Latin American queen, while Reyes is determined to prove she’s the true South American champion. Their upcoming match will determine who moves on to face Shopify Rebellion Gold in the Lower Bracket Grand Final.
MIBR GC vs KRÜ Blaze: Match recap
MIBR GC started strong, confidently taking the lead on their first map. Although KRÜ managed to win four rounds and briefly regain momentum, MIBR quickly reasserted their dominance. In the second half, MIBR demonstrated their skill and power, making it difficult for KRÜ to mount a comeback and ultimately securing the win.
KRÜ Blaze had a rough start on the second map, but they quickly found their footing and took a slight lead. However, MIBR GC then went on a winning streak in the second half, making it very tough for KRÜ Blaze to compete.
Although KRÜ put up a good fight and the score was relatively close, they couldn’t win the match and advance to a third map. This means they’ve been eliminated from the tournament. Still, they had a very successful run, reaching the top four – a first for the team – and should be proud of their accomplishment.
