Mia Threapleton Reveals Why She Refuses to Watch Titanic
Kate Winslet’s daughter, Mia Threapleton has revealed why she refuses to watch Titanic.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must confess that at the ripe age of 24, I find myself unable to endure an entire movie in one sitting – and the pivotal moment that consistently derails my cinematic journey is none other than that steamy car scene featuring the dashing Leonardo DiCaprio.
The actress shared with Richard Eden from TopMob that she hasn’t seen the entire movie due to her mother’s notorious explicit scenes featured in it.
As I grew up, children often recognized my mother. On occasion, they would inquire if I had ever seen the car scene in Titanic, to which I would respond negatively.
Yet, at age 12, she recalls a movie being played on their household TV, with her mother shielding her eyes from a specific scene in the film.

She remembered: “That’s the only instance where she exclaimed, ‘Oh my goodness!’ and shielding her eyes. I also recollect responding, ‘Mum, I can still hear that!’
In 1997, Kate, who is now 49 years old, skyrocketed to fame when she played Rose DeWitt Bukater in James Cameron’s hit film. This movie shattered box office records and received a total of 11 Academy Awards.
She was additionally recognized with a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards, and her captivating screen dynamic with Leonardo, who is now 50 years old, has left an enduring impact.
The film is a blend of historical romance and disaster, narrating a fictitious love tale unfolding amidst the actual sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912.
In a predicament where she’s compelled to wed a rich man, Rose (Kate) finds herself captivated by Jack (Leonardo), a gifted artist, on the ostensibly invincible Titanic. Regrettably, the vessel collides with an iceberg, putting their lives at risk.
Just recently, I had the privilege of attending the highly anticipated premiere of The Phoenician Scheme at the illustrious Cannes Film Festival. It was an absolute honor to be part of such a glamorous event filled with A-list celebrities.
As I gazed upon her, my heart pounding with admiration, I couldn’t help but exclaim that she was nothing short of breathtaking in her captivating, dramatic emerald evening dress. Posing gracefully for the camera, she became the very embodiment of a storm, a whirlwind of elegance and allure.
The dress without straps, adorned with an intricate orange floral pattern, additionally boasted a striking, voluminous skirt.

This year’s Cannes saw the highly anticipated premiere of “The Phoenician Scheme,” a film boasting an impressive cast. Given the acclaimed director Anderson steering the ship, such success was hardly unexpected.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to highlight that I am following a captivating narrative where the lead character is Benicio del Toro, transforming into the affluent businessman Zsa-zsa Korda. In an unexpected twist, he designates his sole daughter, who leads a life of religious devotion as a nun, as the inheritor of his vast estate.
Yet, as Korda ventures into a fresh endeavor, they quickly find themselves under attack by cunning business magnates, international terrorists, and relentless killers.
Or:
As Korda embarks on a new venture, they swiftly come under threat from shrewd tycoons, foreign extremists, and persistent assassins.

Mia takes on the role of Sister Liesl, appearing alongside Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Bill Murray in this production.
The film will debut in the United States on May 30th, and there’s optimism that it might be Wes Anderson’s next major Oscar nominee, given his previous achievement with The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014.
