Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Leaked, Includes Ape Escape Monkeys

The anticipated remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is set to release on the 28th of August.

Based on information from the PlayStation Network Store, as reported on ResetEra, and I’ve personally confirmed this.

On the PlayStation Network (PSN) store, you can currently find a new trailer for a game titled “Release Date Trailer.” If you check it out now, you’ll notice the release date displayed on the game’s page. However, this information may change swiftly.

What stands out to me in the trailer’s finale is the appearance of a monkey, reminiscent of those found in the Ape Escape video games. Given this, it seems likely that the popular Snake vs Monkey minigame could be reintroduced.

It seems unlikely that the game will be playable on Xbox since Ape Escape is primarily associated with PlayStation. However, given the mischievous monkey in question, it’s possible that Snake might have to use his electric stun gun to subdue it before capturing it.

As well he should.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is out on 28th August, on PlayStation, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
