Meri Brown Goes After Kody in Legal Battle for Sister Wives’ Compound

Sister Wives‘ Meri Brown is considering taking legal action against her ex-husband Kody Brown.

According to reports, the well-known reality TV figure, aged 54, seems to be planning to engage lawyers, similar to how her ex-sister-in-law, Janelle Brown, did previously.

This entire situation revolves around the persistent disagreement concerning their ownership of the Coyote Pass property, located in Flagstaff, Arizona.

A glimpse into their argument was featured in the preview for next week’s part of season 19, which will air on Thursday.

Over the past few seasons, the split at Coyote Pass has remained a recurring point of contention between the former partners on the popular TLC show.

In a turn of events that left me utterly astounded, I found myself in a position where I had to confront my idol, Kody, about some troubling allegations. He’s been accused of splurging a significant amount from our shared family account towards the twilight of our plural marriage. As an ardent fan, this revelation has left me questioning the sanctity of our unique bond.

Again alleging mismanagement during the transaction, Janelle expressed in a private conversation, “So long as that property continues to stir disputes, I cannot completely let go and fully progress.

In a separate clip, Meri vented to Janelle about the situation.

Janelle, I’m really angry,” she expressed to her ex-sister wife. “It seems like I might need to consult with a lawyer.

Afterward, Meri’s voice can be heard stating: ‘I have certain causes I am determined to stand up for, and this is one of them. Many seem to say, “She was deceitful, she was controlling,” but let me explain…’

The trailer additionally featured Kody and his surviving spouse, Robyn Brown, expressing their thoughts in confessional segments following Meri’s relentless efforts to claim her share of Coyote Pass.

‘I’m not trying to rip you off, Meri,’ Kody said in a confessional clip shown in the trailer.

Later on, Robyn expressed that she was always there for Meri, standing by her side, even when others were scheming against her or disregarding her.

In her private thoughts, Meri expressed that she is currently pondering the strength or closeness of her relationship with Robyn.

‘Why tell me that you want to have a relationship with me and then ghost me?’

Meri was Kody’s first wife, whom he divorced in December 2022 after 32 years of marriage.

Kody recently went through a separation with his second wife, Janelle, while Christine Brown, his third wife, split from him back in November 2021.

Now, he only remains married to his fourth wife Robyn.

In 2018, prior to their marital issues arising, Kody and his sister wives jointly purchased pieces of land with the intention of having their families reside nearby.

During the first episode of season 19, Meri expressed that Kody claimed she wasn’t entitled to an equal share of the property due to them having only one common child, Leon, aged 28.

In that episode, Janelle told Meri that she hired a lawyer to go ‘for separation of assets.’

Christine also had a portion but she sold it back to Kody in August 2022 after their separation.

Sister Wives’ 19th season returns on Sunday, April 20 on TLC.
